@@NotAnImport yeah, what’s the one I should be looking for because there’s the 1.6 I-vtec se , then also 1.6 I-vtec sport but I thought they were pretty much the same
@@Evco29 tbh mate I’m not 100% sure as I have a type r now myself , are you from the UK because I think over here we just have the civic sport 1.6 VTEC
@@NotAnImport basically I think what it is you can get the sport which has type R steering wheels and wheels and then you can get the SE which is 4 x 100 wheels standard steering wheel
Would you reccomend upgrading from a corsa to this, wanna get into the jap car scene but the price of cool jap hatches have gone crazy, especially the insurance! can get a type r relatively cheap (around 3k) but they’re all battered and i’d have to sell my kidney to insure it at 19, so this would be a safe bet and a nice work beater! How do you like it?
I have one of these in Red. OV04 THU. Purchased it in 2007 for £10K! It’s been exceptional. Only issues I’ve had other than normal wear and tear is the Wife somehow managed to snap the drive shaft ( garage that repaired it said he’s never heard of it before except on Rally cars ) the lacquer on the bumpers peeled off which I resprayed and it’s now starting to rust quite badly underneath
Haha very nice , snapping the driveshaft is very common in these , there made out of bloody plastic 😂 and I’ve recently just picked up a new one after selling the one in the video !
@@pascoalantonio9249 this generation of Yaris is THE best. Whether in 1.0l, 1.3l or 1.5l. Hell, even the 1.4 D4D engine was good enough to go into the BMW Mini of this era. I've had two of them. I want the 1.3 Auto Verso in Gold Colour of this vintage next. Shove the MTB's in the back and happy days. Fantastic motoring.
Great cars! I took my first one to 190,000 miles then immediately bought another one but a low mileage car on 63,000 miles. I've got some decent tyres on it and a HKS muffler for the sound. The grip is fantastic and they are bulletproof in terms of reliability. Body roll is the only issue really but with £250 of parts you can transform the handling (Tein lowering springs + Whiteline rear ARB)
Amazing lad, I got this a few months ago as my first car and have been looking for inspo. I have exactly the same intake as you from gravity performance and have the same issue with it not fitting. It is supposed to come with a rubber spacer in order to secure that bracket on. What I did was use a bung from a demijohn I got from Wiko (rip) and put a screw through it. It's not the best but its better than it being loose. Praying it passes the MOT as I haven't take it for one since doing it
In America…in particular Michigan…home of American Cars (and mostly HUGE pick-up trucks)the sight of my ‘07 Yaris is quite uncommon. Mine is a totally stock 1NZFE with 300,000 miles… I’ve never seen a modified Yaris here.
Hi mate the rear plate was the smallest size That JDM Plates offer, and the stero was a lucky find on facebook , unfortunately it has since been discontinued
I don’t think people realize how special these little cars are. They’re dead reliable, good mileage. Cable throttle for the 1:1 ratio and more fun than people suspect. Handle nicely too with just a simple few mods. I’d absolutely hold on tho this. Don’t over mod it and it will work for you forever. 👍🏻
And are faster than a a3 s line lol. Destroys 300hp BMWs on backroads and once dailed in the launch is really Good. A turbo version would just be cheating. I had a 400hp fk8 and that destroyed most cars on the road. But this is just funny. Cos little boys think they can do it and get rinsed hahaha. Never ever gets old
I'd say it's perfect as long as you don't get too carried away. Honda got rid of the double wishbone suspensions due to this exact thing (as well as the cost). They cause inexperienced drivers to feel like they're better than they are and then when it goes past the limit- it's almost too late
@@frxg5637 Absolutely Not. Due to the small wheel base and the 940 kerb weight. These cars are renowned for being wrapped around a tree on a corner because newly drivers lift off the accelerator. You either put your foot down or break! Never lift off.
Nice one! just check very carefully for rust, (inner sill , behind arch liners if there are any, spare wheel well) if there’s rust do not buy it , feel free to message me if you got any more questions about getting one and i can give you some good and bad points and things to look out for , IG @j26.ep2
