Hey interested in buying this kit not just for the remote start but due to losing the lock and unlock function on the remote fob . Does the kit come with a new key ? Or does the remote start sync to the existing key ?
Just did this using this video to guide me. Word of advice, my part did not come with the shield to the right that holds the wire. You're better off attaching that to the new alternator before anything else, or else it's more of a pain to reach the bolts.
Hey thanks for the great video. So I have a question. Recently my Honda civic 2012 just stopped working out of the blue. It struggled to start for a few times this morning but refused to start on the third time today. However while the car refused to start, all my electrical continued to work (AC/Radio/Lights etc). I tried getting a battery jump start but it didn’t seem to work. The battery is supposed to be in relatively good health (I had a test done a month ago). I have a sneaking suspicion it is either my alternator or starting motor that’s the issue. Do you have any tips to closer pinpoint which of these two could be causing my electrical issues? When I trying to turn on the car with battery jump start, I hear a very quiet “whirring sound” but no start. I am also in the process of getting a voltmeter and car code reader computer. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Also what length bungee cord did you use to hold your belt? Thanks again for the informative video!
Hey godwinjoy, it's very difficult to troubleshoot over the internet. From what you're describing it would lead me toward the alternator or stater as you said. I suggest watching a couple starter motor Troubleshooting videos to see if the symptoms are similar to yours. I didn't measure the bungee cord, I had a multi pack and grabbed one that was a bit shorter than needed when relaxed so that when stretched it provided tension to hold the belt on the pulleys/rollers. You Could measure from the hood where I hooked mine to the belt and then deduct 3-4 inches from the measurememt to get an idea of the bungee cord length needed. Good luck!
@@DeancentGarage sorry for the late response but it ended up being the starter. The most hassle I’ve ever dealt with for a $100 part. Thank you though.
Hey Dave, thanks for posting this video. I used it to help me replace the alternator on my 2014 Honda Civic. I struggled a bit with my low quality hand tools, but I got the job done. Thank you.
is the truck leveled or lifted? if so what size? and also interested in what tire and rim size you have on. I like the stance and height on it! grille is sick also
Truck is leveled on Bilstein 5100s, they're adjustable shocks and if I remember correctly I set it either to the second highest or second lowest setting. There's info online on which setting to set to, to level the truck. Tires are 35" mud terrains on 17" rims. Appreciate it man 🤙
Hello. Yes, this works. I installed this in 2021, and no leaks. You did the same thing, I did: coat hanger and all; except I didn't have a car lift. I had jack stands and removed the rear right tire for access.
My First House Fire was my own started by Acetone and a candle, my younger sisters were playing and doing their nails and Poof....followed by a scream of Daddy. with me and my dad being with the fire Department we were able to get it out without having to call in half of the County Fire Departments
Nothing existing in your truck gets flashed. The new flashlogic device you need to purchase is flashed by the seller specific to your truck so it can talk to your truck. Then you program your fob to the new flashlogic device so you can use your existing fob to start the truck.
@@DeancentGarage Thank you. Okay, I was curious because I have a tune on my truck for a cam and other work and the timing and everything changed from factory. I didn't want to accidentally flash it back to stock and lunch a motor or something.
Appreciate the video, ordered one after watching this, mine came in and it’s true took like maybe a couple minutes to hook up and program after buying it already flash programmed to my truck.
Just an FYI, since the fuel strainer is problematic to remove sometimes, you can actually check its cleanliness from the top when the fuel level/pressure sender is taken out..
Hello what is you plan to install a push button start on it can you still make this installation or would it be advisable to do it after you’ve installed the push button
Hey any tips on simple bolt ons for a stock L61 2.2L ecotec, I have a 03 sunfire I want to get a little more power out of without any difficult modifications since im still a novice when it comes to modding cars.
Cold air intake would likely be the easiest and most affordable. Next would be a good exhaust system including upgraded exhaust manifold if you can swing it.
I bought this product and installed it today without issue, thanks to your video! I was curious what you would say is it's maximum range in your experience?
Hey guys, just wanted to make an important update on this video. The JB waterweld did not up and I developed a leak again. I just posted a new video on the ultimate fix that will stop the leak from the fuel strainer opening once and for all. Check it out 👉ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m_C6FgUf2vo.html
