Hey man, thank you for the video! Could you post a copy of the manual by chance? I can send you money for your time if you’d like, just didn’t even get a manual with mine and they won’t respond on Amazon. Your video helped a lot, just not sure what function 5 and 6 do among other things.
I just dont get why they dont use the cameras that are used in high end phones, i mean ya paying the premium for it, the picture quality looks like a phone camera from 10 years ago!!
I had to look it up because i thought i was going crazy but they really wasted their time & money with dropping the same dang camera a year later with less features & the new sony star vs 2 that's crazy
Everyone doubts they "need it" until they need it. Do you have the Secret Service protecting you? Oh yeah, they let a former president get shot, so maybe you do need it lol!
I have the V3 for over 2 years and I have never taken the card out... Should I reformat...? 🤔 I did buy the new mini during prime days (really good deal) and I am thinking the V3 will move to the back window... 😊
Both the drones and controller can use one but it's useless in the drone in the US because DJI doesn't allow the use of it like that. All you can do in the US is get Internet for the controller like I show in this video.
i got a redtiger and it sux , you have to manually hook it to your phone everytime you get in the car, then you cant use youre phone for anything else. i have a car wifi hotspot and CANT EVEN use that with the redtiger ..which is beyond dumb.. but if i understand youre review correctly, the cloud based blackvue I can just start the car and go without having to connect anything at all?
Most dash cameras do not require you to connect your cell phone to the dash camera while driving. I have not used a red tiger dash cam but I have seen them on Amazon, I don't think you need to connect it to your cell phone. I have seen this common misconception that you have to connect your phone to it while driving, that is unnecessary unless you want to copy files to your phone or change settings. It should be recording the video files to the memory card in your camera.
@@integralcamerasolutions it does not, i have pulled the card and loaded it in my pc and it records nothing unless you go thru thru the process of hooking your phone up everytime you get in the car..
Thank you for the Video. When I connect the Gopro I have with my existing Powerbank, I get a warning to use a power supply over 5V/2A. I want buu Anker 325. Anker 325 Powerbank 15W -A1286 20000mAh - PowerCore 20K II .Does it work with Gopro Pro? I am not sure.
What kind of power bank is your current one? I would have assumed any decent power bank should be able to power the GoPro. Anker is a very good brand I think it should work.
Was recently in an accident. Not my fault, other guy was trying to beat the yellow and whacked my left front. And he was unlicensed. Why? Dunno. Anyway. Called 911. Cop showed up. We had pulled into a nearby strip-mall. I explained to the cop what had occurred, repeatedly looking around for the other guy, who had seemingly disappeared. I hadda find the guy who was hiding in the furthest store of the strip-mall :). Cop talked to him for a bit, came back to me and said, "ok , I cited him for not having a license". I think he felt bad for the guy, as did I, and cut him a break, as opposed to 'failing to yield' which is a moving violation with points. That one, no license, clears me completely, insurance wise, cuz he shouldn't have been there in the first place, and doesn't hammer the guy point wise for his insurance. The car was registered and insured, he just wasn't licensed. Kinda been there, done that. Been poor. It sucks. Kinda still there, if'n I'm driving a 2005 Camry :). I wish you well, Mark.
Yes the one in the video was discontinued. The link includes the new version that came out after I posted this video. Personally I think the new one is better anyways.
why does my cell phone show 4 camera ( in my devices ) when I only have 2 camera ??? I had issues with my USB power supply cord to my Garmin 66 W the pst month, so I removed my 3 year old Garmin 66 W and added a Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2. directly to a 12' volt USB that shuts off when the ignition is off.. I still have 4 camera in my devices even after clicking on "Forget this Device" several times. Those suction cups aren't good all year round !!! They don't hold.. in extreme weather temps.. I did delete the Garmin Drive app from my iPhone and download it again..Every time I have an update I seem to have to figure the function all over again and they added so much useless items on the last update ...Why do I have to "add vehicle" ...to the info ??? If I need to get any pics or videos off my camera ..its so much easier to do it on my computer.. With the micro disc in that adapter and then in my computer .. I can have a full video in just about a minute..
The garmin universal mount sucks. It keeps falling off almost every week. Tried using different adhesives to keep it from falling but to no avail. Even the cheap phone suction mounts work a lot better than this. Waste of money
Garmin MINI 2 Product page states it comes with "vehicle power cables". It does not state that it specifically a USB to USB-A cable with a cigarette lighter adapter nor model of cars it's compatible with. I purchased it for use in rentals cars as I'm a frequent traveler and am in rentals cars for work about 75% of the time. Many new cars I've been in have sole USB-C outlet to which this is not compatible. Another thing the product page leaves out is that you must use their cables (per their techs as to my inoperable camera) nor do they offer a USB-A to USB-C cable for purchase.
Hi. Could you please check if it works with power supplies having USB C PD (power delivery, fast charging) support? My car has PD capable USB sockets from factory and the Vantrue dashcam didn't work with it
@@integralcamerasolutions omfg u want to tell me there are ppl with tinfoil hats and their mobiles in pocket, GPScreen of 15" in their new vehicle and...they mind generic commands 🤔🤪😅🙃
not sure about this but with 4K, each pixel is smaller in the camera sensor. that means that while the resolution is sharper in the day, the pixel takes in a lot less light at night and thus may not be as good as a 2K sensor. this is just a theory.
That is often the case with dash cameras as none of them use larger sensors. But over the years better brands have gotten better at their low light image processing with HDR. I feel it's just a case by case basis tho. I use 4K blackvue cameras in both of my vehicles. They don't have the best 4k video but they have the best cloud support so there's always pros and cons to different brands and models.
love My a229 she speaks to me, the onlything Defecetive! Rear View Camera Cable Brasss Tip at least told me one channel, that's when I figure it was not working Beat Camara for the $$$$
Ideally you'd put it right next to the base of the mirror but I have a blackvue camera in the way there so I had to set it off to the side. Pivoting left or right is less common in dash cams actually.
i have a dr970x lte, no gps signal near my rear center mirror on my volvo with ACC ! signal ok if a remove the dashcam, no deported gps module, very sad ...
What do you mean when you say “ with the parking mode, you can have the camera continue to record while your vehicle is parked and the when it detects an impact it will start recording” It doesn’t have continuous recording?
He’s talking about the other device not the garmin camera. The camera itself id dead when the car is turned off but if you buy the other accessory it will pull direct energy from the cars battery and record even when you are gone. It will detect a “hit” and save that footage
Hi nice setup, just bought a 2024 Tacoma and was going to install a camper shell and was wondering how to mount my rear camera, do you have photos of how you ran the wire inside the side of the camper shell?
Save your money guys, these cameras are garbage pieces of shit! After watching this video a while back, based on this review, I went and bought two of these cameras and they are both crap, absolutely crap! The more expensive Garmin cameras do tend to work better, however, after about a year, the GPS chip burns outwhile the camera remains working. I don’t know if this is heat related, but Garmin needs to up their game. Sick and tired of cheap dash cams.
