I actually lived in Bay Village from about 86-90...125 Griffin Court.... Went to 5th and 6th grade at A.J. Gomes and went to Jr. High at Roosevelt. We lost so many people from the neighborhood from AIDS, and so many deaths....R.I.P. Baby Kenny also. I was just a kid then, but I was besties with his sister Kendall. I lived right by Montes, about 4 apartments up. My friend Ronelle and I would swing on the clothesline poles and play on the swings...We only had one of those old metal swingsets back then...I have a lot of great memories though....Festivals, the basketball tournaments, the parade, etc. One thing I remember is that I wasn't allowed to hang on "THE WALL"....my mom said that if she caught me there, she'd ring my neck! LMAO....Been away since 90 but I still miss it!
I don't even know how I came across this video, but I grew up on the Southside of Waltham in the 90s (when it had roughly the same murder rate as Chicago today), but I live in Illinois now and the bas places out here CRAZILY worse than anything in MA. Young dudes don't really fight out here like we did- no neighborhood people coming out to make sure a fight is fair. Just kids shooting each other

a bit wild and loose back in the 80's and 90's , but after the late 90's it got way better , it's good to know that the little street violence that ever happens is almost always due to the crowd from the spanish culture festival and usually from outsiders
