I saw someone important to me dying, then I announced it to everyone... And a year later, I see a star, which comes closer, and closer, and closer, and then I see... Him, the one who died a year before. Then, we both lived a great live which lasted a long time.
This is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! This was my favorite game on Gameboy (the original, not color). I'd play the game to get to the end so I could listen to the end credits until my batteries ran out 😩❤🫶
This piece truly does sound like something that would play during the end credits of a hypothetical SML movie; "Curtain Call" is a very appropriate name. Great job.
I remember I was 5 when my mom gave me her Gameboy and the memories I made with the Mario land series is something I doubt I'll ever forget I still play Mario land 2 sometimes today cause let's be honest the first game ain't got much going for it but it's still fun
Axol might have just been seen as a simple anime loving axolotl in the beginning. But in the end, he saved the lives of his friends, the universe, but most importantly, the girl he loved. He will never be forgotten. "Thanks for the Adventure"
That piano in the beginning was so gosh dang contemplative and sweet and closing-the-book’y. And then this like full credits medley followed and wow…wow.
This gave me the shivers, especially at the turn at around 2:33, this was always one of my absolute favorite video game compositions, the orchestral version of this song is really good too, with the steel drums, though I love how this goes through every world, giving them their own flawless interpretations. If you're also a Sonic fan, one of the Sonic Casino Nights remix's made me actually gasp when it hit the breakdown. It does it New Orleans jazz style, and it's also amazing.
