Welcome to the new year! 2019 is showing a lot of promise, and I'm really looking forward to what I have in store. I've finished one semester of college, and I spent my winter break relaxing with family and friends--but also making music! This is the first one I finished. This year is going to be the first of a few years that are...hopefully...relatively similar to each other, so I hope I can find the time to keep making music! It's what's keeping me sane these days, haha.
National Park is a very special song to me. I waited a long time to remix it, but friends of mine know that years ago before I uploaded anything to youtube, I made TWO other remixes of this song (you don't want to hear them)! I probably would've waited longer to touch this track.but impulse got the best of me over this break, and I made this chill version of the song, because it really fits the kind of atmosphere I like to associate with this place and song.
Also, that solo! I think it's the best one I've ever written; I'm super proud of it.
I could talk about the National Park theme for ages; it's probably my favorite Pokemon track. The chords move me, the C section where the percussion comes in (about 1:30 in this remix) is just amazing, and when I do inevitably come back to this track, I'm going to try even harder to do it, as well as the rest of the song, justice--which may be impossible!
