Thanks for the tip on the white tablecloths. I'm heading to Dollarama today. However, instead of foam balls, just use a soccer or basketball, or even a plastic bowl.
Also, whenever I make something like bechamel or gravy involving flower and some gets on the tarnished copper it cleans that spot when I go to wash the pot later, so I think there is definitely something to Jason's post below where it says in a restaurant setting they use "a slurry of equal parts salt, vinegar and flour."
I have over 20 Mauviel copper pots and prefer just using Wright's copper polish (which includes a handy cleaning sponge inside). The traditional French method from famed Richard Olney (who with Elizabeth David inspired Alice Waters and Jeremiah Tower to create "California cuisine" at Chez Panisse) is “…a paste made of a couple of cups of marble dust, an egg white, about 3/4 cup of flour, 1/3 cup vinegar, and a handful of salt, may be prepared and kept indefinitely in a sealed container.”
I love the look of these but every recipe I have seen says that you need Polysorbate 80 to help emulsify the oils and water and to help prevent rings from mica in the tub. Why don’t you use Polysorbate 80?

I have tried them but they are not for me. You can't clean them. I use either reusable containers or saved clean plastic bags. Yes I know its plastic but I wash out my plastic bags and reuse them
Thank you so much. I was kinda lost because I couldn't remember the 5th grade experiment we did. But we never used vinegar and salt on copper. Amazing!! I'm glad I trusted RU-vid, again. That one single video earned a sub and like. Thanks again. -Magic
I also just viewed a tuber using Coke Cola Soda, which worked without scrubbing. "How to clean a copper pot with COCA COLA". Ketchup, Lemon and Vinegar all are the Acidic and the Salt or Diamacious Earth the abrasive for scrubbing.
I am sure you know this, as you sound experienced it looks but for whoever is curious: like whatever injury it was, it damaged her imaginal disks that govern that area. For anyone reading this, the imaginal disks are clusters of info heavy cells on the lateral side on each side of the caterpillar, and they are what guides the reconstruction of the butterfly once they have dissolved themselves inside their chrysalis. Like a CD for a CD player that is heavily scratched but somehow did not send the reader back to the home screen, she muscled though and managed to be read and built out, which tbh is very surprising. Thank you for keeping her and all you do!
awww, i love love, love this story makes me so sad tho knowing they live for such a short time not long enuff...***i am seriously going to do some deep research into doing what u do i have 20 heavily wooded acres in texas...
@@TheOldCountryPorch i already ordered my milkwood seeds it says best to get them in in early fall thats the plan i already have a big cage that i will just tidy up some am excited. i never thought of this, and am so glad i watched your vids!
That’s so exciting! Sounds like you’re ready to create a great space for the monarchs. Early fall is perfect for planting milkweed. If you can, adding some flowers will attract even more butterflies, zinnias and Mexican sunflowers are both easy to grow, and they love them! Good luck!!!
Whilst i love that you're trying to reduce plastic, it bothers me that these wraps are all made using such vivid fabrics which are highly toxic to the environment because of the dyes going into the water when being made. Please be careful!!!
Thank you for sharing this review. I'm new to soap making and would like to try selling some at market events. I first tried the cheese cutter, then the loaf box with multiple slots (it is too short for my soap), but the bars are not even or straight cuts. It's frustrating.
It is frustrating, especially when you are selling them and they all need to be perfect! The wire cutter is a really good option for getting good cuts, you can find them on Amazon or I have a video showing how to make one yourself!🙂
I'm so glad I came across this. I'd never heard of these before today. I found them at TJ Maxx she bought 4 wraps. I came to you tube to find more info on them. Your video is awesome and I will be making these for my family and myself
