I made these yesterday and it was very easy to make. It was my first time making them. I did add poylysorbate 80 for the castor oil and the lake colors I used as I wasn't sure if it would stain the tub. Thank you for this easy recipe!

@FeurnSagewind

@@Pppoopoocheck8 i know this is a really old comment but i found this on google, its also the rule i follow when i was making bath bombs: The rule of thumb is 1 part Polysorbate 80 to 2 parts carrier oil (eg Sweet Almond oil, Coconut Oil). So if you use the recipe that we provide in our bath bomb kits, use 1 teaspoon of Polysorbate 80 to 2 teaspoons of Coconut Oil. Just remember to use the 1:2 ratio for any recipe you use.

Thank you so much! Beautiful! Do you have to use castor oil or can I use any oil such as Shea, coconut, olive or avocado oil? Does this recipe produce a nice full bath of bubbles?
@TheOldCountryPorch
@TheOldCountryPorch 3 года назад
Thanks🙂 I haven't tried this recipe with other oils so I can't say for sure if you could use something different with the same results. This recipe does make the best bubble bath, TONS of long lasting bubbles!!

Thank you for sharing. May I ask why did you not add Polysorbate 80?
@TheOldCountryPorch
@TheOldCountryPorch 3 года назад
Since Polysorbate 80 is an emulsifier it's not needed in this recipe because the SLSA and the Coco Betaine also work as emulsifiers🙂

I have tried this recipe twice and it does not harden. The truffles stay soft in the middle. Is this supposed to happen? If not can you please advise. I do love the simplicity of this recipe.

Hi Kathy! I just happened to see your question here for her and just yesterday I was watching a different video where they said “The outside will form a harder ‘crust’ but the center will remain somewhat soft.” They were talking about their bubble bars that were cut quite thick, but I am assuming that same thing could be happening here with yours and this recipe. I do have to say, I have never made these yet but I have narrowed down to three recipes I want to try and see which one I like best. Hopefully I can remember to come back here and let ya know if I have any luck :) Have an amazing day! 💜 Christie

Glycerine is a humectant so is honey plus salt it attracks water.

I tried your recipe and it came out way too wet. I let it dry and the bubbles just fade when adding the bar to the tub.I think there's too much Coco Betaine in the recipe.
