I have been waiting for SO LONG for a woman to post a rebuttal to his song. I feel like his song could be valid, but he blames women, whining the entire time. This is spot on. As a man, I know (somewhat) what the women in my life have sacrificed and been through. As a MAN I feel like the majority of these issues affecting men are due to men, but I guarantee you, based on the people Dax is associating with, he blames "toxic masculinity" on women.

I don't think you understand the song that Dax wrote. Real men don't expect you to be something that you're not. You shouldn't let those outside influences make you strive to be something make believe. Or something other than the real you.
I do not think you understand my remix to what Dax said, to a woman, in our heads and what we are raised to believe and how society is, a woman's perception is quite different, hence why I wrote this remix. We were enlightened by Dax telling us a mans point of view so we understand men better. I wrote it from a woman's point of view to show how different it is. Both songs are subjective, not objective therefore everyone has their own story and point of view. I was telling mine in my version. Perception is NOT reality, it is the filter in which we see the world. Communication is NOT key, Comprehending the conversations IS !! I hear you! I wish I would have heard my wife sooner!!! It seems that none of us understand the other side. I have cried so many times to Dax’s song. This hits from the other side mostly because I never had expectations for my wife but that doesn’t mean she didn’t feel any. She may have not have any for me but I sure as hell do!
The problem is that you are wrong. This might be your experience. But your husband is gone because he is working for you. While most men will never hear they are good enough or will only get flowers at their funeral is true.
I don't think she is just talking about when he is gone at work, some men even though they are physically home they aren't mentally there. Some men do get told they are enough and small gifts given to them and still a never actually home whether work or just not home in a mental/emotional way.

Actually your spouse and kids should ALWAYS come first. Even before religion. If you can't put your spouse or kids first then you shouldn't have a family in the first place.

Thank you for putting it from a woman's perspective we are mothers and Aunt and teachers and soldiers and doctors and we are often times thought of as oh you're okay you know you can just get over it. When most people don't understand that to be a woman it's just as hard to be a man. Were abused mentally physically emotionally we hold Blue Collar jobs just like a man and come home at the end of the day and feel so alone and feel so helpless and feel like you did absolutely everything right and it was absolutely wrong. Thank you for your bravery to write it from a woman's perspective I hope @Dax hears this
Very sad song but so very true you shouldn't ever have to compete with social media to know or understand how beautiful you are because the creater created you in his own image and that's a very true important thing to remember always where ever you go
