To many of us spend our valuable time locked into jobs, careers and lives that do not satisfy or fulfil us. We go through our daily lives thinking that we get what we are given and that there is nothing we can do to change it.

My goal is to provide insight and, help you to realize that it is possible to change the way you live your life, and the way you think, and to ultimately pursue the life you have always dreamed you could have no matter what that is.
Stuck in the mud, Again!

If you were getting a lot of different knowledge about a lot of different things from living with them, you would not be living with them. They didn’t do their job.

Well if your parents made you then the least they can do is letting you live with them. That's fair i think, you didn't ask to be born. It's no shame, it's a stress free life😉 Enjoy 👍

Why do you always seem to be in a tizz? You always seem to be dysfunctional. Just accept the fact you cannot cope or survive in what is the easiest time (physically) to be alive in human history.

Im 37 and still live at home. I went to college, held jobs, etc.... its just impossible to build a normal life anymore. Even my parents are cool with it, we both mutually agree times have changed, and my generation is simply not going to have the same lives they had. I guess anything is possible, but I don't even think of marrying or having children anymore, I have lived so much of my life without it, it seems not possible to have it anymore. Even some old friends of mine who married in their early 20s had horrible divorces, alot of them tell me in the end I won because my life is simple. Also, I became a religious person and in general that has led me to a less materialistic life. I just feel society has changed and I dont have a place in it, but at some level I am at peace.

have you ever looked into add/adhd? a lot of people think it isn't real but a lot of the things you talk about, I relate to, and sound like they are symptoms of executive functioning. Structure is important for people with adhd but we tend to rebel at it.

I can totally relate about being a perfectionist but I've found that it's better to just put it out and make it slightly better each time (even it's by the tiniest bit) than to just keeping putting off trying to "put out the most perfect content". Focus on the message and type of content you want to put out and just be yourself. Have fun and I've enjoyed watching your videos on your channel! I hope to see more soon. :) <3

I would not expect a young 18 year old to move out they are a kid just finishing high school and have no life experiences , but once a individual reaches those mid to late 20s knocking on 3o, you should have a place of your own, even if with a room mate- you are moving back home to be around multiple people anyway. However, if all us fails we always told our kids they can come back and help pay for utilities and groceries. Your not moving back home for free, but for a lower cost of living and it is easy to manage when you have your goals straight. If you have children that would need to be worked out as well when moving back home.

I resonate with this SO hard. People don't understand how easy it is to fall through the cracks. I moved out at 18 and did pretty well for years, but things fell apart around 26 and I had to move back home. I felt like a total loser, until an old friend reached out and got me a job with the company he worked for, and once again I was back out on my own. At 35 I'd finished an overseas job and moved back home for what was supposed to be only a month or so. That was February of 2020. Once the covid lockdowns hit, I was stuck, quite literally. After they lifted several years later, I was a different person. Lost, depressed, and hopeless. I've made several failed attempts to move back out, but all have failed. I'm now nearing 40 and I can't see how I'll ever get back out on my own again. It's destroyed my confidence, my social life, my dating life, my career prospects, all of which just reinforce the depression spiral. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

I'm 48 and still live at home. Not what I envisioned for myself when I graduated high school. During my senoir year I was in a horrible car accident and ever since then I've dealt with crippling depression, anxiety, cuttting and suicidal thoughts. Despite being on tons of meds and seeing lots of doctors/therapists over the years,I still struggle. I'm really scared of my future. But I haven't given up yet. I keep trying to find a better job and hopefully someday move out and improve my life. I'm at least hoping anyway.

Not everyone's life follows the exact same path, for most : Go to college, leave home as a student, rent, graduate and find a career by your mid 20s, have a partner whom earns a similar income. Get married, buy a house together all by the time you're 30. Also, not all cultural backgrounds see it as shameful not to have your own place by a certain age, a lot of people in my country at age 40 to 50 still live at home with their parents as rent for single person is utterly crazy as is buying a home. You need two good incomes by the time you are 25 or max 30 to get a mortgage. I left school at 18 with no idea what career path I wanted, no college education. I always worked, mainly in retail work until 30 or so. I was fortunate to find a well paid job selling civil engineering/building products during the economic boom of the 00s I was fortunate to land a management position after 5 years there and was considering finally getting a place of my own but then in 2009 the boom collapsed and I ended up with a redundancy, which I banked along with my savings. I was now in my forties still at home with my parents but I also had a creative passion which was beginning to take off. I tried to break into the IT industry after doing some courses and landed a job which was terrible and had to walk away from, my self esteem was at rock bottom but my artistic hobby kept me moving forward and I accepted and learned that many other people had endured hard career changes that didn't work out due to many factors. I finally found two different jobs that had skills that kinda matched my experience and stuck them out for almost 8 years by now Im in my late 40's and still single I met someone a bit younger than me and it looked like we could get a place together by the time I turned 50 this did not work out so well unfortunately. So in my early 50s I'm still holding down one of those regular Ok paid jobs and my creative endeavours are beginning to show steady growth and additional income. In 2020 during the pandemic I could see that my creative passion is where I should be putting 100% of time into instead of my dull 9 to 5 which I was beginning to feel more and more unhappy with. Sept 2020 I left the job and pursued my passion. If it wasn't for living with my parents and being single and having no children this would not have been possible, now I have more life balance and a better purpose. My parents are both in their 80's and I have become their caregivers to a certain degree also. Some people may judge me because I never got away from my parents and feel there must be something wrong with me, well that is their perception, things just never aligned that way for me and its not always a negative situation, sure it can be difficult at times but so is owning your own home and paying a mortgage etc.

I am 44 and after my dad passed away 10 years ago, my mom moved in into my small apartment (she is living in the living room)... I am single, and I didn't have any dates or so in that time. I am the only child and love my mom but it would be better that she could live alone. But she has only a small cleaning job, not enough to get own apartment, and she doesn't want to get help from social care. I thought of getting her some cheap apartment, but I am not earning that much to pay for 2 apartments.... No idea how to deal with this. I feel angry and lost if I think about this. A lottery win would be the answer. Maybe some of you have an idea what we could do.
