The seats on the Audi A8 D3 are designed to provide maximum comfort for the driver and passengers. The chair is covered with high-quality leather and can be adjusted in many different directions
If Chicago Bulls &Lakers coach Phil Jackson can fit in Audi A8 who is 6'8 tall and Big people fit in Audi A8 and S8 Quattro comfortably, V8 engine in Audi A8 or Premium Audi S8 Quattro.
Sadly my a8 has been having some electrical problems and I have water seeping inside my car. I wish I could fix my expensive problems but I am a full-time student with payments of a school loan and a part-time job that keeps me busy 5 days out of the week. Shit sucks
I can only get mine up to 5500rpm floored. If I put it in manual mode say I'm doing 45 what gear should I drop it to in order to get it to the redline before shifting? There are so many videos out there of the XC70 getting to the redline but I cannot get it even close. At 5500rpm it sounds like my engine is working so hard that I just let off the throttle. Lol.
@@MichaelXC70that’s just how engines sound when they’re working hard they’ll sound loud and pronounced when floored. At most you need to get to 6200 where max power is. If you’re going 40 mph drop it into first, should rev up enough to accelerate better.
@@MichaelXC70and naturally aspirated engines generally need to rev a bit before actually feeling like the vehicle is moving pretty good. Unlike turbo engines which make more low end torque. That’s why an F150 eco boost only has to rev to 5600 to move well compared to the 3.3 f150 which needs 6500-7k floored to move well.
@@charlesrodriguez7984 The transmission will not allow me to drop to first gear while driving 40mph. The lowest gear I can drop to is 3rd while driving 40mph so the transmission doesn't get ruined. Thanks for the info tho! 🙂
@@MichaelXC70weird. Mine will drop into second if I floor it at 40 mph. If I’m going less than that it’ll still stay in second gear. However in manual mode it should allow you to shift to 1st if you are going less than 40.
Mine also shifts around 5500rpm. Do you think putting it in manual mode and letting it get to 6-7k rpm will hurt anything? I've thought about putting it in manual and just letting the RPMs get higher just don't want to ruin anything. I'm pretty young so I don't know much about them.
@@MichaelXC70it should be fine. The ecm won’t let it rev past 7k which it’s redline is 6500 rpm. I’ve never tried manual mode in mine because I’m a young driver who still is learning. Plenty of fun floorboarding it though and hearing that sound.
@@charlesrodriguez7984 if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I did put it in manual mode and floored it, was able to get it to the red line no problem. 🙂
@@charlesrodriguez7984 I was jw if you were as young of a driver as me I'm 19 😅 but absolutely love my XC70. Friends give me crap about it being a wagon but it's more capable in every situation than most of their cars. Lol
I have the same year 08 with 109,000 miles as everything else except mine is Brilliant black sport 5 star rims and stereo system bang olufsen W/ motorized tweeters
I had a D3 (A8L) for about 9 years before finally trading it in for a D4 almost 9 years old ago. Now that Audi offers the S8L (long wheelbase) and no longer offers a V8 option for the A8, I will soon be trading in for an S8L.
Awesome car love it one of the most beautiful Audis ever made really want to get one. Looks sexy and Jazzy. Kudos for Audi. I own a 2009 Q7 and still rides very good with no oil leaks of noises.
I'm thinking about buying a 2004 long wheel base 4.2 and I'm nervous about how much it cost to maintain. It has 130,000 miles. No lights and three owners.
$35 to fill the tank? Here in NY it costs me $100 on average to fill it up with 93. Driving it for 4 hours would leave me at almost half a tank. And there is not a single issue with the motor 🤣. I need to move wherever you are.
Yes it’s a great “driver” but you will spend so much out of pocket I would suggest any other car. Unfortunately the cost to repair these no matter how wealthy you are, makes no sense.
Get a 2008+ Too many issues with the previous years. Air suspension is a problem, carbon build up is another issue that needs to be done every 60k. These cars have a shit load of computers. Powerful batteries are a must. If you ever get a bunch of lights on the dash around the same time, 99% of the time, your battery is bad. A VCDS or OBD Eleven is required for these cars to pin point issues
Always wanted one. When I was getting my first car (2013) you could get a 2008 A8 for $15k. I ended up with a 2005 C55 AMG for around that price! Love the A8, it’s pretty incredible how much car it is.
Hey bud,, just a couple things to mention even tho Iam not sure if you are even driving it anymore as it was uploaded last year,,,so sport mode on the shifter only changes engine characteristics but dynamic mode will stiffen your steering and suspension and also suspension wont squeak in dynamic mode,,, at least it does in mine with a sport air suspension.. to prolong coil pack life you need to change your spark plugs
