Matt here, your self-proclaimed expert and legend in the making. Me and gizmo, or gizmo and I, however you want to say it, are embarking on quite an impossible task here. But let’s be more positive.
You probably have some questions. These are my answers to some questions I assume I will be frequently asked.
1. Yes 2. Yes, I agree, but that’s a stupid question. 3. Yes, the backdoor 4. Sometimes, but probably never 5. No 6. Wow, well isn’t that an interesting idea? Yes, let’s definitely dive into that. I really hate questions like this, it really irritates me. I’m a reptile guy. Let’s keep the topic on that. 7. No, I highly doubt that would ever be a real concern of mine. 8. Earl grey 9. Yes 10. 69
Now that’s out of the way, let me get back on topic.
Is a reptile zoo an achievable goal? Probably not. But let’s try anyway.
Wow, I did not expect to see this tonight! After a couple of double takes, it’s finally sunk in. Your comment means a lot. I’m glad you liked the video! I’ve been a fan for a long time. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hopefully this little project will help with some inspiration for one of your future builds. Theres going to be a fair few videos on this enclosure build.
I have the same rules. Bearded dragon failed due to price of maintenance, enclosure size and temperature. I tend to have had small mammals like rats, mice, house rabbits and birds as they can pass those rules. Reptile wise,my current rule passers are my gargoyle gecko and leopard gecko also have an amount rule . Birds;2 same species, rats, same sex,no more than six, female mice,2bonded rabbits,2,reptiles no more than 3 no matter what. I have maintained these rules all of my life.
I've never met a tame tokay although I occasionally hear about them usually from people who also know where to find unicorns. My late husband like tokays because he said they were the easiest to catch. Youjust waggle your finger in front of them and the catch you (and will hang on till you get whenever you're moving them and after)
I have over 20 reptiles currently, and my Tokay pair is one of my favorites. And the female was the first to bite and draw blood. My male is gentle, cbb, and when I have had to change enclosures, I was able to reach in, secure him and he didn't try and bite. Just mouth gapes. The female on the other hand is wc, she latched on to the glove and held on for about an hour. They were not the right type of gloves for a Tokay, punctured skin through the gloves. Link and Zelda are their names. Everything you said about them is true! They are out for blood! A look-don't-touch reptile.
Glad to see someone else who also loves tokays but respects their power lol. I look forward to doing a tokay project in the future. Thanks for the comment, and great names for the lovely pair!
@@gizmosreptiles I love his humor and the not so "dire" approach to caring for his pythons. I am now subscribed to your channel because I enjoy your humor as well 😁
Bearded dragon enclosure guess: Custom built enclosure or repurposing a piece of furniture like a large display cabinet into an enclosure. Tokays are a-holes 100%
