Hey there! I'm Moon and I love to fish! My dad and I explore Hawaii's reefs and blue water for all different types of fish. Mostly catch and release. Sometimes we'll bring some home for dinner. We always respect the ocean and try and do our part to ensure she stays healthy. We spend most of our time outdoors and film everything. I miss fishing so much .... yeah I discovered the magic of ika when I was a kid in Punalu'u and some ika actually washed up on the beach! I took one of those buggers and used it for bait, makes a good bait hard for the fish to steal off the hook.
That’s fishing. Lightly hooked and tore off when you grabbed the line. It happens, and usually on a really nice catch! Never happens on a trash fish. If there is a superior being creator, they have a heck of a sense of humor 😂
One of my top 5 favorite fish. First time I hooked one I was fishing in Mexico. It bit a fly lined live bait about 150’ behind the boat. My rod bent toward the fish and the reel was screaming. The fish swam forward and was way in front of the boat but my rod was still bent facing behind the boat. The noise the line was making as it was tearing the surface of the ocean catching up to the fish sounded like a zipper tearing. It was awesome!
