I HAVE A FIX After having transmission fault, hdc fault and a list of others I found the cause of the issue ,water had manage to find its way down the back of the scuttle panel where it meets the windscreen and had been pooling behind the battery where wiring is . What I did was remove the battery, remove and water out with a rag and used an airline to dry all wiring out along with where the water had originally pooled and checked for corrosion ,once I was happy I put everything back together and double checked everything worked as it should and for 5 weeks now I’ve had no faults show at all . I used tiger seal around the small gap it was getting through to stop water getting in again causing the same issue again Really hopes this helps someone and saves you a few hundred pounds/dollars .
Thanks for uploading. My Discovery Sport is a 2015 model and RHD. The instructions work although the filter housing is on the right as you look into the footwell. In addition the cover on mine was black but fixings identical. A bit of a faff but only took maybe 15 minutes in total. Filter was dirty and OEM from factory so 9 years of accumulated dust and dirt. New filter should make a difference!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I'm 64 single female and I'm always trying to fix stuff because you know we single gals don't always have money for a plummer, so if I can fix something power to me. I got lucky and found your video by chance after paying 190.00 dollars for a water leak and finding out I have a toilet that has been leaking for a month. I fixed the flabber but it is still leaking so now I needed to know where else it is leaking. Watching your video helped me to figure out how to replace the other parts, not too happy that I have to take the tank off but you made it easy I hope the bolts come off easy like yours did.
Perfect video someone flattened all the fins of our industrial dehumidifier. First ill get an AC tech to check pressure then ill get a matching comb. It might take a week. I can only guess at the cost of installing new one. 🎇😁
I did the ‘repair’ and it went swimmingly well! Took about 15 minutes - surprised even me! Buuuuut, the horn is still SUPER sensitive! Anybody have any suggestions please?!?!?
Thank you for the video! now I can save some money to replace it myself! I have a question, will automatic transmission fluids eventually drain completely if I disconnected hoses earlier while waiting the replacement to arrive?
My problem is different, my fan turns very slowly without any power going to it. I changed out the wall switch and turned the breaker off, the fan still turns very slowly (4-5 RPMs). Can a faulty capacitor allow the fan to turn with the electrical charge from the capacitor without any power going to it? Thank you for your help.

Would've been a little more helpful if you had stated which bank is plug 1,3,5,7 and which bank is plug 2,4,6,8, for the novices and nooses out there in Landrover land, wishing to tackle a little basic home mechanics n maintenance.
I have a 2011 hse sport .. the battery will not hold a charge over night. I jump start it and it runs. But then it wont start even after dricing it for a while . The battery just does. No errors on dash other then the low battery . Noticed the right tail light flickering even when the vehicle is off .. would that kill the battery over night ? Tested the battery and it says its fine. Alternator is fine too. Im getting sick of jump startibg it everyday . What could be the cause of thz battery constantly draining ?
You can take apart the entire dust cylinder also. It is a bit tricky but it can be done. RU-vid “The vacuum repair man”. There are gaskets that need to be cleaned that are located in the dust cylinder too.
Good video. Thanks for the effort. Only one issue. In the beginning you seem to use the words "controller and capacitor " interchangeably. Then never show the controller
All good information from Ron. However, I thought I would try and flush both RH and LH lines with water and/or compressed air first. I ordered a package of five 12mm push-to connect couplers from Amazon at $12.99. I viewed Ron's video to access the vent chamber, removed the soggy sponge to the trash, drilled a 1/2" drain hole at the lowest level of the vent chamber bottom. I removed both A pillar covers to expose the drain hoses and opened the sunroof, cut both drain lines with snips in the middle between the holding clips above the dash level. I forced some water into the bottom half (both RH and LH) and it exited the vehicle as it should. ( I used a wound wash appliance from a medical supply house to force the water...do it the best way you can). I forced water into the top half from the sunroof with a towel below to catch the flow. Afterwards, I also used compressed air at the top of each halves of the lines. All was normal. Feeling confident, I reconnected both hoses using the push-to-connect couplers and prayed to God for success. I poured water from the sunroof ports and VOILA water exited the car at the exterior behind the front wheels as it should, not within the foot well yielding soggy carpet. NOTE: in my case the exit nipples had not deteriorated (no new replacement hoses needed) AND no fiddling with the CJB, central junction box!! Try this process first with only a $12.99 investment. Had this process not worked, I would've had to go back to square one with replacement lines and maybe a CJB removal experience. Good luck.
Never heard back from you. I have numbers now. The C584 is for the orange male rear plug right.? My question is right next to C584 you have C586; is C586 were the green rear male plug plugs in to.? Because just below C586 you have C587.
Water is at the bottom of my dishwasher and many others say i can force drain it by holding the start button and reset it…but there is no start button on my Bosch.
Good afternoon from the great state of SC. I'M working on the CJB now and I didn't take a picture of the back of the CJB prior to disconnect. But If you have the CJB in front of you to the rear right there's a male orange plug thats top right ;right)but to the left there is a green male rear plug on the left, there are two female plugs one on top of each other. Which two female plugs is it.(top just across from the orange or bottom left?
Thank you for doing this. For those that are not so gifted mechanically, you have helped so much. Really great video and explaining all that you are doing including tour tips.
Best video and advice I have ever used on RU-vid, changed the plugs on my 2005 LR3 runs great. For getting the clips off I used a pair of small needle nose vise grips and that worked really well adjusted to the width of the clip, Big Thanks
