So here is my group first off we got the gym leaders in 1. Lenora 2. Opal 3. Viola 4. Kodu 5. Kathy 6. Raihan 7. Grusha 8. Norman. Now for my elite Four we got Brock, Juan, Drake and Drayden and for my champion since I have loved his signature pokemon since generation 1, got to go with Falkner and his Pidgeot
alright, here's my hypothetical pokémon league (with me as the champion bc ofc i am) Gym Leaders 1. Ilima - Bunnelby, Komala & Smeargle - Normal Type 2. Bugsy - Shuckle, Butterfree & Scyther - Bug Type 3. Kabu - Torkoal, Camerupt, Carkol and Centiscorch (either Gigantamax or not) - Fire Type 4. Misty - Psyduck, Seaking, Marill and Gyarados - Water Type 5. Ryme - Banette, Mimikyu, Hisuian Zorua and Houndstone - Ghost Type 6. Clay - Claydol, Palpitoed, Clodsire and Excadrill - Ground Type 7. Erika - Sunflora, Victreebell, Belossom, Hisuian Liligant and Venusaur - Grass Type (Sun Team!) 8. Raihan - Flygon, Goodra, Gigalith, Lapras and Archaludon - Dragon Type (also technically a weather setter) Elite Four 1. Karen - Umbreon, Absol, Houndoom, Meowscarada and Grimmsnarl - Dark Type 2. Whitney - Clefable, Granbull, Togekiss, Tinkaton and Miltank - Fairy Type (aside from Miltank) 3. Eri - Lucario, Toxicroak, Passimian, Heracross and Anihilape - Fighting Type 4. Wikstrom - Aegislash, Probopass, Kinggambit, Corviknight and Aggron (either Mega or not) - Steel Type Champion Siobhan - Sylveon, Alolan Raichu, Galarian Rapidash, Quagsire, Altaria and Meganium - all these mons are my favourite, but a lot of my faves were used in gym/elite four teams (namely mimikyu, umbreon, absol, tinkaton and clodsire :')), although if i wanted to be REALLY cheat-y, i would switch out meganium with zacian :')
Very fun video just getting your favorites of the Gym Leaders/E4 and making your own league out of them. Interesting to see that you're one of the few people who don't like the idea of theme gyms. I wouldn't say I agree but I certainly respect it. This would be the part where I would say "I would love to type out my own little comment on this hypothetical but that's a long comment even for me" but 11:40 exists so *if you insist:* 1st gym: Gardenia. She would use *Turtwig, Sunkern and Steenee* (I feel like all three of these guys fit Gardenia's cheery, sunshine-y vibe. I did give her the weakest baseline Pokemon but its the first gym, I think she's allowed to be a little sauceless). 2nd gym: Kofu. He would have *Marill, Krabby and Veluza* (I couldn't separate Kofu from his vaultin Veluza and now it's his ace. Meanwhile I liked the focus on Attack I had with this team. Marill seems like an exception here until you realize it has Huge Power. Real big boost to that base 20 Attack amirite?) 3rd gym: Candice. She's got *Snover Cetoddle and Galarian Mr. Mime* (Full disclosure, I like Mr. Mime but hate its Galarian form. That being said it does fit the sort of theme I had with Candice which is Pokemon who look like they would have a grand old time in the snow. Doesn't hurt that Snover sets it up and G Mr. Mime and Cetoddle benefit from it with Ice Body and Snow Cloak respectively). 4th gym: Will. I decided to let in Elite 4 members into the gym mix. It's not unprecedented since a whole Champion became the Viridian gym Leader. He would have *Baltoy, Gothorita, Galarian Ponyta and Xatu* (Will apparently travels around the world in hopes to train Psychic types so I thought I could give him Psychic types from different regions that were also a little unorthodox. A regional variant, a goth and I think Baltoy and Xatu kinda speak for themselves. Not the best executed them but I think it works well enough. Baltoy also sets up screens for the other 3 to do their thing). 5th gym: Shauntal. Her team would be *Dusclops, Jellicent, Galarian Corsola and Chandelure* (I wanted to try and connect these Pokemon to Shauntal's book thing because I really like that she is "Ghost writer" but the idea was initially the most interesting Ghost types and hard thing about that was most Ghost types are inherently interesting in my opinion. So I went more on the strategy side. Shauntal's team is meant to mostly just stall and cripple your team with stuff like burns and Pain Splits and recovery before Chandelure comes in and cleans house. Focusing on defense isn't usually a winning strategy with gym Leaders so I wanted to slot in a sweeper that could maybe take advantage of the stall. 6th gym: Janine. Her team would be *Ariados, Crobat, Toxapex, Victreebel and Sneasler* (I wanted to save 5 Pokemon for gyms 7 and 8 but let's be honest, Ariados is a full on liability. It's literally only here for Sticky Web. I wanted part of Janine's team to be defense oriented and set up while the other part is attack oriented. Crobats kinda the in between since I can see it doing either or. I was on the fence with Sneasler since I don't know about modern day gym leaders having Pokemon from far in the past but but then I thought about Sticky Web supported Sneasler and all that doubt kinda just evaporated). Gym 7: Bugsy. His team will have *Ribombee, Vespiquen, Heracross, Shedinja and Scizor* (I wanted Bugsy to have a wide array of Bug types considering how knowledgeable he is of them, Scizor's cool, Vespiquen is terrifying, Ribombee's cute, Heracross has some derp to him and Shedinja's weird. Speaking of which, I know the Donphan in the room. Listen it's a Bug gym as gym 7. Shedinja has like 5 weaknesses. The player has to have one of them). Gym 8: Valerie. Her team would have *Alolan Nintales, Florges, Sylveon, Primarina, and Togekiss* (I'll be honest and say that I just wanted to make a cool Fairy team. That being said I did still try to pick the most elegant options to fit with Valerie's love of beauty). E4 #1 Crispin. Ah, bet you wouldn't see a Blueberry Elite 4 member. He would have *Torkoal, Rotom-Heat, Talonflame, Zen Mode Galarian Darmanitan, Cinderace and Terastalized Fire type Magmortar* (I wanted all of Crispin's Pokemon to reflect his fiery energy, the exceptions being Torkoal Talonflame who are the sun setters and Magmortar who just feels very tied to him. E4 #2: Kahili. Okay, so Alola very obviously doesn't have gyms. I wasn't really thinking about if "every region was well represented" during this (hence the 2 Sinnoh gym leaders) but Alola barely has a shot. So here Kahili is, plus free Z-Move rep. She would have *Gliscor, Mantine, Noivern, Sigilyph, Braviary, and Minior who would use Supersonic Skystrike* (Kahili's sort of a blank slate. She's rich and likes golf, so I used that blankness to my advantage and tried to make a Flying type team that doesn't just default to using birds. Yeah Braviary's there but everyone else is something other than a bird and I think that's neat. What I also think would be neat was if Kahili tried to use Shell Smash first on her Minior and the moment it shell breaks, she pops the Z-Move. E4 #3: Drasna. Her team would be *Goodra, Cyclizar, Dracozolt, Alolan Exeggutor, Tatsugiri and Mega Altaria* (as you can probably tell, the main goal was to do whatever you don't expect from a Dragon. We have highlights like bike, tree, the elderly and her ace cloud bird. The funny thing is, all these Pokemon can still do some damage especially if say we gave her Regenerator Shed Tail Cyclizar. Just spit balling). E4 #4 Marshall. His team would be *Sawk, Emboar, Hisuian Lilligant, Poliwrath, Hawlucha and Gigantamax Single Strike Urshifu* (My general thought process for this one was Pokemon that have been said to have well developed attributes or train a good amount. I've strayed away from using Legendaries but Urshifu lore wise barely felt like a Legendary to begin with). Finally, the regional Champ is going to be *Jasmine.* I either wanted the Champion to be something funny or something I thought fit for a Champion. I think Jasmine's care for the Amphoros in Olivine Town shows how much Pokemon matter to her and is very befitting of a Champion. Plus she already has a "Champion-esque" outfit with her BDSP contest design and, the cherry on top, she has been a type specialist of 2 different types. She's currently a Steel type trainer but used to be a Rock type trainer before her Onix evolved. So I'll sprinkle in 2 Rock types for so that I don't just use her PWT team. Her team will be *Magnezone, Garganacl Metagross, Rhyperior, Melmetal and Steelix* (This team is basically if the word "juxtaposition" was a nail I kept hammering in. All of these Steel and Rock types are big and bulky and then you have their trainer who is mostly soft spoken and shy. I added Melmetal cause again not really that Mythical lore wise). And there it is. This was a very interesting experiment to go through but damn did it take a while. I am glad with my league even if I am a bit disappointed I couldn't find a place for a Champion and that type overlap sometimes came in between me and another character I like. Probably not what you meant by "I'd love to see your gym leaders and Elite 4" but I had fun nonetheless.

I liked the concept of the “Big League” and “Little League” in SwSh but it’s ashamed that we never got to see the idea expanded upon. We never got to see the “Little League”. For my Pokémon League I’d have trainers participate in the Little League first and whoever makes it to the finals would qualify for the Big League either post game or halfway through the main story. All of the gym leaders would use full teams right off the bat for the reason that challengers usually go into gym battles with a numbers advantage and types that counter gym leaders. It’s only fair for them to have full teams. My 8 gym leaders for the little league in no particular order/ reasoning would be: Misty: She’s iconic and uses one of my favorite types. Bugsy: Bug types are my absolute favorite and I’d give Bugsy a unique/ diverse team of bugs. Roxane: It’s a shame that she was the first Hoenn gym leader, her team potential is amazing for an archeologists/ teacher/ gym leader. I’d give her a team of fossils and cave dwelling Pokémon you don’t usually see on teams like Sabeleye. Roxie: He punk rock aesthetic is so cool and poison types are very underrated. I’d give her a mix of poison type and sound related Pokémon like Noivern or Specs.Exploud. Clay: The man, the myth, the legend, Driftvile Tycoon is force to be reckoned with. I’d give him a cool mining themed team and I’ll throw in a Gohldengo for that luxurious rich vibe. Kiawe: I’m counting island trial leaders as gym leaders. He has high ambitions and a fiery personality. He’s simply so cool. His ace Turtonator is also one of my top 5 favorite pokemon of all time. Melanie: She’s aesthetically my favorite ice type user. She also trained her son to be a gym leader. Piers: He’s very misunderstood and has the underdog vibe. He’s the leader to team yell and runs a whole city, also my second favorite Galar gym leader. My 8 gym leaders for the Big League in no particular order/ reasoning would be: Blue: Former Champion and uses multiple types. Clair: Is the rival of Current Kanto/Johto Champion Lance, she’s a dragon trainer. Tate & Liza: The first double battle gym battle in the series, very tough with only 4 Pokémon so imagine a full team. Volkner: Is Canonically one of the strongest gym leaders in verse. He got so bored of winning he was suffering from success. He also looks like Minato Namikaze. Cheren: A former rival who now runs a school and mentors new trainers. One of the strongest Unova trainers. Korina: The first gym leader we ever fought that uses mega evolution, I’d have her use mega evolution in an official gym battle. Raihan: He’s so cool, uses weather strats, uses double battle format for his gym battles, and is the rival to one of the strongest Champions ever. What’s not to like about him? Larry: Current gym leader, Current E4 member, current salary man, and current right hand man to Paldea’s current champion Geta. He specializes in two types, I’ll let him use both for his gym battle.
I love how all of the Elite Four display an unique battle gimmick. Great choices too, kudos. Normal/Flying is the most common Type combo like how Larry is the most common guy.
Hey doli looking forward to your ATR verse as well as everything else you make. Regarding the greninja chestnaught dilemma I had a suggestion if Legends ZA introduces mega for gen 6 I think giving one of them a mega and other battle bond would be great. As you have a story of one of them not feeling worthy of bond as they can't mega but then get something equally good. Also for regions that ash doesn't have starters giving giving legends series starters would be great. Since Ash is not really ash without a starter Also if you ignore everything else just give Paul a ursaluna
Awesome video! Personally o think Roxie’s Toxtricity should be the lowkey form since she’s a bass player herself, it’s cool to see her with one nonetheless though!
Yeah but you never see a band with two bass players. If she plays with her Toxtricity on stage, she'll want two instruments that compliment each other, not just the same thing twice.

@@Doliwhop probably one of the reasons why i like dudunsparce is that it's a snake and snakes are my favourite animal and yes i know why people Don't like dudunsparce is that it's design is dunsparce with a extra segment or two and also that people wanted dunsparce to evolve into some kind of dragon because of those fan made evolutions that the dragone type and being disappointed with dudunsparce but i think that dudunsparce is a fitting evolution to dunsparce and I probably shouldn't have made this long reply of me knowing why people don't like dudunsparce and why i like dudunsparce and i also feel implied to reply to your reply 😅
My elite 4 would be iono with tera electric mismageous Bea with gmax machamp because why not Brock with mega steelx because hes the runner up to the final boss Ash ketchum with his team of krokodile, the goat charizard, septile, lucario, gengar, and of course the z move final boss pikachu with all that lets go bullshit and stat boost
My ideal E4 would be using unused types and all gimmicks: Mallow with Z-move Tsareena Larry with Terra-Normal Staraptor Opal with G-max Alcremie Volkner with Mega Ampharos The champion would by Grimmsley using Dynamax Terra Ghost Mega Tyranitar with Blackhole Eclipse
