Most of you haven't quite yet made the correlation that capitalism is the root cause of climate change - greenhouse emissions from hydrocarbons may be the chemical agents but it is our socioeconomic system (capitalism) that demands we convert Earth's resources and hydrocarbons into wasteful products to earn money to justify our existence. That's a DUMB WAY to manage a civilization.

I thought it was an honest documentary with good intentions but all of a sudden close to the end it went into a propaganda piece. The lie about Muslim persecution in China. Keep spinning the lie because the facts do not match the realities. By putting that into your documentary you sank all your own alleged ideals. What happened? Did the CIA take over? Some business deal that was too good to pass up? Bloody hypercrites. America is full of people slaving away in American internment camps called prisons. Much like in China where criminals work in prisons. China has every right to imprison terrorists just as much as the USA did with Muslims in GITMO.
Our ability to consume is limited by income, supply chains, availability, and all our other needs. We have people sleeping in doorways, and you're telling me that we are damaging the planet because we're buying too many clothes. And this message is coming from a company that charges $44 for a pair of socks. Okay. The planet is fine. Our governments are polluted.

Nice clothes like Pendelton. Patagonia has not been a quality brand for a long time. It's a lifestyle brand. Don't let these ads pull the wool over your eyes.
Capitolism is the MOST FAIR system ever devised, you work hard you get paid more, its only the recent socialistic bend among formerly capitolist nations that messes it up. Marxism (communism and socialism) is only fair if you think the guy who spends all day eating cheetos on his moms basement couch should have access to the same lifestyle someone who not only worked hard but (importantly) took RISKS did, all while subesequently creating not only profit but goods and services and JOBS where other people who work hard can do well in. paying them equally may be equity, but its not fair and its certainly not equality by any measure. Im sure this will get me sent to the new gulags our dear leader casturdeau is building for us folk here in cannaDUH.
I buy Wrangler & Dickies. They're both "cheap" and I wear them everyday for about a decade before they wear out. I don't need to spend hundreds to get a reasonable lifespan from my clothes.

I bought a shirt from Patagonia 5 years ago. It is still my favorite shirt. So extremely well-made. Totally worth the 80 bucks, even though I had only about 145 in the bank and was unemployed.
