Some of you guy's are borderline illiterate, one points of the classic was about bringing modern things into a classic lens. I get if you dislike skibidi toilet tower defence's event, since it was incredibly basic, but it does technically meet the bill for what was advertised.
overall my opinion is that it was pretty decent as the second return to non ad events, but i wouldnt say good. It felt a bit short for one imo, only two of the rewards really felt worth it to me and they were the two on the more expensive end in terms of token cost, the fact you have to pay for certain event items feels a bit cheap (though i did buy that sk8r hat cuz i just had to okay), and i kinda wish there was more free reward items in general along with at least ONE actual classic hat as an award and not just new variations of classics. minor nitpick with the lobby, but the colors just felt too bright for what old roblox really looked like id say my main critique is that it didnt use any classic games for the event, but i also kinda get why. as much as i woulda loved if they used natural disaster survival, a build to survive game, heli wars, etc., the truth is that those games are not nearly as popular anymore and who knows how many of those old devs are still active and if newer players could find joy in them with how roblox has evolved. Im at least glad we're somewhat out of the corpo metaverse era and roblox is willing to pay some homage to their past and acknowledge it

for the people who complain about the games not being classic, i think what roblox is going for in terms of the lore behind the classic event is 1x1x1x1 hacked the recent popular games into becoming classic themed. this is just a game theory tho

Genuinely the most upsetting part for me was the games. Sure the 1x1x1x1 boss fight was terrible, but the game selection made me want to rip my hair out. I started playing Roblox near the end of the "classic" era (2013-2014) and this just felt like a spit in the face. The two tower defense simulators, Dress to Impress, Clip It!, and A Dusty Trip (for example) had zero right being in this event because they all stand for what people despise in modern Roblox: lack of originality, brain rot, and uncanny valley avatars.
I actually played MeepCity back in the day (never encountered ODers despite playing in public lobbies.) I ended up buying the core pack and now have the "Meep Hat" forever stained on my first account. (I actually remembered the password to it 1 1/2 years after having creating an alt. The alt is now my primary.) Am I getting rid of the toy? No. The fisherman one is perfectly harmless. It's actually looks decent. If it was Alex himself, I'd throw it in the firepit outback.
My problem with all the games was that they were too hard and tedious for a span of 5 days. Ex. Look at Arsenal, having to beat the event with the classic pistol is a nightmare especially fighting minigunners first try. The fact that every single game is a scavenger hunt is tedious and boils down to, "Look at the wiki!"
for me personally i was really hurt when they didnt pick make a cake at all, i know they picked the games they did because they have a ton of gamepasses and make roblox money, but make a cake has a good amount of gamepasses that would 100% get roblox money
Hopefully roblox toys added dodgeball, Bringing back work at the pizza place, youtubers, Weird strict dad, Retrostudio, Piggy, phantom force, Ugc creators, Pls donate, And Admins
The Classic Event is just underwhelming in general... Restaurant Tycoon 2: Basically repetitive as hell, and takes a really long time to get all the tokens, especially when you need to serve like 200 classic customers. Adopt Me: Again is just repetitive and dull, the game doesn't even try and bother to look classic, just giving you a 'classic' teapot. Livetopia: All you just do is do 25 delivery jobs to get 5 tokens and 10 tix, pretty basic yet boring as well. Bee Swarm Simulator: While very difficult, it's one of the more entertaining games of the event, although you might need some luck with your teammates. Clip It: How the hell did this game get into this event?!, probably because Roblox wanted a game where you can earn some easy tokens and tix. Arsenal: Really depends on your skill, if you are not that good in the game (like me), you might have a bit of a hard time, especially with all the challenges to get all the other tokens. Dress To Impress: The first half is basically just a glorified scavenger hunt to find all the tix, the second is doing an obby that is sorta 'classical', overall is just a snoozefest. A Dusty Trip: Whilst it might take a bit more time, this game is more on the 'fun' side of these games, and gave me a very good first impression of the game as a whole. Dragon Adventures: Literally just an Egg Hunt but worse, basically. Tower Defense Simulator: I didn't really play mich if this game during the event, but seeing gameolay footage of the event, it would probably be hell for someone who doesn't play that much TDS. Gunfight Arena: Again, didn't play this game much, but you basically just try to get a certain number of 'tags' to get tokens. Toilet Tower Defense: ..... Really Roblox?, this is the best that you can think of? Out of all the games that you could've picked... And it's made even worse when you realize that TTD is literally similar to Tower Defense Sim (except way worse). And how not long before the Classic, one of their community managers was exposed with some 'disgusting' stuff with kids. It really sucks that Roblox, after all this hype for years about a old-themed event, would just mess it all up once again... What's worse is that after this, Roblox would just bury all of this under the rug, refusing to even mention the days of Classic Roblox.. But you can't really say that you are surprised...
TDS gave you the towers needed to complete the event, so pro players didn’t have an advantage (other than experience with the towers). It also wasn’t too hard either, but not too easy
