Hey, i just got a question im very new to Blender and in the beginning you said that I need to apply all modifiers but i font know what kind of, that would help me a lot well maybe im just an idiot lmao
@@Gamezoneadi So that explains my problem. I've got the terrain of the ground object by extracting it from Google maps with render doc, so I would have to add those modifiers manually
When i try to Knife Project the road, i get this message: "No other selected objects have wire or boundary edges to use for projection". I have selected my terrain and i was in top view in edit mode and i have selected both my terrain and the road. Any ideas where i'm getting it wrong? Thanks
Maybe the terrain that u are using is not subdidvided and its just a plane. I would suggest you to use the newer method, pobably the last video of the playlist, if this one doesn't work for you
@@Gamezoneadi it is subdivided, has a mesh but not a lot of vertexes like thousands. I've noticed that the KsEditor takes quite some long time to load the project when there are lots of vertexes in my objects.
I'm pretty sure version doesn't matter, i have 4.1 and 3.6 as well, it works for me. Maybe go through a detailed tutorial of uv unwrapping first, u might be missing some small step
@@wicklash9065 well this is not a beginner friendly topic, i've tried my best to include as many details as possible, but u should already be knowing the basics well. The only trick to learn here is the straightening of the uvs to texture the road and kerbs
Great videos bro love the series but i am having a few issues that I would love some help with if you are willing and able to do so. First when I delete a part of the mesh in edit mode it is not deleted when I go into object mode and when i select piece of my track and place my cursor in the UV mapping area and press u i click unwrap and nothing happens like nothing at all. i have been stuck at this point and have completely restarted 2 times to try and see if i maybe clicked something on accident when following your video but i have encountered the same two issues both times. would love help from anyone that is able and willing to do so
Uv mapping doesnt work in object mode, it works in edit mode. Also if u cant see ur uv maps, press A, then press peroid/decimal key on your numpad. It will bring the u maps into focus.
@@Gamezoneadi i was in edit mode when i tried to place it in the uv mapping section, and i throughtly read throught your comments before making one of my own and have tried this already and i see nothing when i do anything
Help: I've been in despair for days. When I open UV Editing and select the route on the right, the UV Editing window remains completely empty (even if I select "Unwrap" in the dropdown). I have followed every step step-by-step, as in the video. Can anyone help me? I have tried it with Blender 4.1 and 3.6.5.
Hey man, So whenever i go to unwrap the plane, by pressing U while inside the UV editing window, i get the drop down menu, and after I press unwrap, nothing happens. Like nothing appears, nothing pops us, nothing. Any help will be thankful @Gamezoneadi
Hey, I have a problem when I select the plane and the faces before extruding all of it. When I drag the cursor to select everything, it won't actually select everything, but some points and faces. This prevents me from extruding everything correctly. What is this due to? Hope it's clear to you as it might be some very stupid thing lol
Ig u need to do manually, sometimes it doesn't work for no reason at all. Some problem with the face normals prolly, it doesnt recognize them as connected Alternatively, just press A to select everything, in edit mode
@@Gamezoneadi possably im still pretty new to blender so im not fimilier with terms. i think remember in another video someone say not to take the paths past the edge of the terrain could that be the issue?
Naah i stopped game dev. No time left, my laptop aint fast enuf to handle it, long loading times and crashes, once i have saved enuf, I'll build a new pc and start with unreal engine
I have been following your tutorials but currently there is an issue I don not know how to fix. When I select one of the faces of the mesh and activate UV editing the face looks very strange, not like rectangle as it should be. This happens just for one of the faces, for all other all good. Could you help me with this ?
@@Gamezoneadi I tried this couple of times but does now work. Is there a way to send you an screenshot, I would be so happy if you can help me with this?
These videos really helped me create a little track of my own, I did struggle a bit at 1:40 because at first Blender wasn't selecting the image texture in the UV editing window. You can just select it in the dropdown at the top. Also the textures weren't showing up on the track in my layout panel. After a lot of searching I found you have to select the "Material Preview" sphere in the "Viewport shading" section in the top right of the view. I am really new to blender so maybe that was obvious! Anyway thanks a bunch!
