Is frustating when you're throwing punches like CObrita was and nothing lands and Luisito would effortlessly land his punches lol. It might be due to style , body compositino, etc but without a proper plan CObrita would never beat Luisito. I think Cobrita should have , his team as well, swallow his pride and he should have taken a more tactical aproach and box Luisito at a distance and try to frustrate him and force him to com e to you, and block, move, counter -- basically turn the tables on him. You see how damage Cobrita took and when cobrita would finally get one punch in you can see how Luisito felt that. We learn from history, learn quick!

First time watching the full fight. People told me it was close. No it wasn't Gardner was 5 rounds up. But fair play hard fight. Gardner was class and relentless, and what a great interview at the end. Humble man.

Hong appeared stronger than the neophyte Carrasquilla. Carrasquilla with poor resistance to Hong’s body shots which set up the final KO. Too bad teenager Carrasquilla was rushed into this fight with the far more experienced Hong. His handlers should have guided his career with more care helping the kid hone his skills-especially defensively. Carrasquilla later had another great slugfest against perennial contender Ruben Castillo-knocking Castillo down (which Alexis Arguello couldn’t do) but also losing by stunning KO..
Not exactly world class, but a fight you would not mind paying to see. Ive seen fighters quit before but not quite like that. Proper tear up with bith knowing who was top dog.
