Man you do very well. That fish you caught at 4.30 i would never have cast in there. Any chance you tell me what material the red and white stuff is. TIA
Looking for fly that hangs a bit if that makes sense all my eBay ones seem nose heavy just not found one happy with yours seem to hang and have that pulse thanks for taking time to reply
I know what you mean mate nose heavy works for me but only on deep venues I found a even hang time better for shallow venues but it’s good fun experimenting ay it mate
Nice one mate yeah it’s finally organised now Been propa struggling lately walk about 12 miles and had 3 takes hopefully this cold spell coming will switch them on 🤞
Hello mate I’m back again for another season on the Severn I fish just above stourport mate there is big mommas about just hard to find them hope your catching a few
Great catch on great river. Thank you for sharing with us this incredible extreme winter experience. What is the name of lure's brand and what is its weight?
Smashing video Bud, having your Dad out pike fishing with you, Priceless, your Flys look powerful, would not even know myself where to start with making one of them bad boys, what size of hook, I guess would be a good start. 🎣
Thanks for watching again and yeah switching to drop shot is deadly and not a common method to catch pike but when that not havin it it the one Hope your bagging a few Tight lines mate
Hello mate I tie my own flies up it’s great fun just have a go it’s a learning curve but if not have a look on eBay I’m sure you will find some hope this helps
I fish 50lb braid I think it’s leeda and 20lb or 28lb wire trace mate and many thanks for watching I’m just waiting for the rivers to drop looks like I be waiting a long time lol thanks for your support Tight lines mate
Yes mate my dad still got it It’s great just getting on bank with him No fishing lately tho rivers in serious flood hope your getting a few bites and thanks for your support Tight lines mate
@@JackPike ah likewise the rivers over here are in a shambles, went to the Shannon last week and it was flooded to about 200 yards past the bank. Another great river The Barrow is absolutely too fast as well at the moment. It'll be lakes for the foreseeable.
I’ve got a selection now, black and white, red and white, a new one I came up with known as “the ginger ninja” bronze, silver, gold, rainbow, ranging from about 6” to a foot. I’ll let you know how we get on… Low n Slow baby!! 👍🏼
@@JackPike absolutely mate couldn’t agree with you more it’s been out on the bank that counts for me mate bonus if you get one lol , and he deffo picked the right colour I reckon 😉 🍻
Nice one, got to agree on the barbless hooks, there was a day that 2 pike tailwalked their way off the hook but I see that as fair play to the fish. I'd rather lose a fish than have one damaged badly by a deep barbed hook
Thanks Brian for your positive feedback I’m glad you enjoyed it hopefully catch a few more the weekend if the pike aren’t frozen lol Tight lines if you go out
Those takes mate get me every time awesome footage 👊🏻 , it’s the landing net extension for me Chief I can see that’s a huge help on those suicide pegs 😎 nice one 👍🏻
Thanks Pagey yeah the Landing net is the one just a heavy duty carp landing pole glued to savage gear net easy to do and got me out the shit loads of times
Never knew that about the pigs tail on the wire, educational, thanks for sharing mate enjoyed the video looking forward to watching through your channel 👍
Thanks for your positive feedback Lone Wolf I’m glad you found it useful I can’t wait for weekend see if I can catch some more in the freezing 🥶 cold Tight lines if you get on the bank
@@JackPike thanks for the advice mate love finding out new things. Hope you have a good session bud tight lines. I'm out alot but don't post if I blank lol. Especially fishing urban birmingham canals 🎣
@@JackPike they always pay off eventually mate but always a slug. But I've got plans this winter to catch some good pike. Can you tell me what licences I need to march up and down the river severn and the Stourport canals etc please I have my normal 3 rod licence
