Why is it always the zipper. Your dress is beautiful. I love that you take the time to do French seams. I’m doing the Ellis Skirt by Cashmerette, and I just realized that the zipper is not sitting right. I have to take it all out. 🤪

I usually shop Joan's but I have been looking for some orange and white and green and white striped cotton or linen fabric to make 2 shirts. I know I will probably have to order it on line. Do you have any suggestions. Love your projects they are so neat and nice.
I don’t think I’ve seen anything you make that I just didn’t fall in love with! Your expertise in picking out the right fabric for a pattern is spot on. I have a hard time visualizing anything.

I love your skirt. Being on the shorter side myself, I often take out extra volume, I think it's better for our shorter proportions. I think your finishing is superb. Enjoy your trip and relax. Your other hand-made garments are so gorgeous, you can pack them in with pride❤

I bet you are going to get a lot of wear out of the chambray dress. Looks great! That orange print is so pretty, and the patterns you choose seem to really suit it. Looking forward to seeing how the set looks on you. Taking some of the fullness out of the skirt worked out great. I haven't done a lot of tiered skirts, but I do remember thinking the way they make the pattern pieces doesn't really make the most out of the width of the fabric. Like they will have you cut 3 tiers, each waisting a but of fabric, when you could easily get roughly the same length with 2 using the full width. I would like to see daily outfit pictures from your trip.
Thank you so much. Yes, there seems to be lots of fabric in the design that could be adjusted. Thank goodness I was able to use less and have a lovely set. I am looking forward to wearing it as a set or mixing with other pieces. I will definitely share pictures and a vlog.
Yes, double please for the vacation blog! Oh how I miss Jamaica, you lucky girl! Haven’t been in decades, 😅 as I have lived in Japan for over 20 😊. Your 2 piece dress will be stunning and will be great for mixing and matching. There used to be a train you could take near Ocho Rios to the mountains that stopped at a dressmaking village half way up, where you could get measured and select your fabric. Then the train would stop on the way back down the mountain so you could pick up your finished cotton dress! I’ll never forget those ladies and all the lovely people I’ve known in various parts of Jamaica as we used to return every year for a new adventure. Best wishes for a safe and wonderful trip! Oh, Sunshine.... that train trip would have been awesome! I left twenty-six years ago and visited at times but have not gone back home in five years. I am excited to take you guys along. I will try to incorporate my everyday stuff as our home is in construction.
