Fabric Haul & Sewing Options 

I recently came across your channel and instantly became inspired! From this haul to your jacket collection video, I can clearly see your passion for sewing. Much like yourself, I grab fabrics in many corners of the globe. It's funny how the stash grows. Saw something gorgeous passing an estate sale one day. It turned out to be vintage silk dupioni! So yea, I scooped it up, lol! Been sewing for over 50 years but I'm always happy to meet men/women that share the love. Thanks and happy sewing!

It's interesting to try a new fabric source. I will be looking forward to hearing what you think after you wash it and make something up. I think the black linen shorts and the caramel-colored pants would work great with your black and white collection. A dress in the blue would be lovely. So many fun options to play with with solids even though they aren't as fun to buy. Hope it all works out and you've found a new source for affordable fabrics. Can't wait to see what bag you make. That royal blue cotton linen would make a great jumpsuit-shorts set (just an idea 🤗) obviously you do what you want with your fabric. But I guess I'm still thinking along the lines of your previously stated Vacation Wardrobe. Now with FWD you can have MORE FUN 😊

You always select the most lovely fabrics and colors! I recently picked up a cotton/ linen bottom weight from Stylemaker during a sale. While the fabric is beautiful it was much more costly. I’m interested to see how yours washes up and of course what you make from it. I loved the shot of your makes in the beginning of this video. All the beautiful colors!! As I’m no longer in the workforce I’ve paired down my wardrobe and miss the variety a bit. Thank you for introducing me to FWD, I’m going to check them out!

That stretch looks like it has the same stretch as a 95linen/5spandex I’ve worked with. It sewed like a dream and looked fabulous.

I have a pullover dress with pockets I hand sewed out of a black linen. I adore it.

Fabric Wholesale Direct has great prices so does Califabrics and Vogue Fabrics. Good quantity too. I sew to save money. I can’t justify paying over $12 a yard!

That duck will make a wonderful bag! I’ve also used it to make cloaks, both rain and lined for winter with polarfleece.

I too am always tempted by prints and need some more plain fabrics. I’m always thrilled when I’ve made something up, but in the planning I find it hard to motivate myself to sew up plains! I can’t wait to see what you make 😊

Ooooh, so tempted to go check them out 😂 All the fabrics look great. It is not easy to find good cotton fabric even when shopping in person, especially at that price. I will definitely try FWD when I finish going through my current stash/project list.
