Hey I just got set of the houser +2 a arms. What did you finally set them to ? You said you had them at -2 I'm going to sand dunes what a good starting point. And the hess linkage lowered your rear one inch correct ? Did you leave the front stack ride height or did you adjust your springs down ?
For now I left the raptor with the ball joints rotated forward. I have not had time take it back to the trail to test ride yet. Yes it has the Hess linkage in the rear. Rocket Ron built the shocks for this set up. I set the ride height to his suggestion. 8’ front 7.5’ rear
hey limitless powerpsorts. I have a concern i want to confide in you. these yfz 450s, many youtube content creators say the clutch is a ticking time bomb, they claim to say the clutch basket is no good. Im just asking you if that would be a good idea to swap out the factory basket for a hickson clutch. I have a 2024 yfz450r by the way. Would really appreciate your help because im scared on if my brand new bike's clutch will explode and ill have to jump thousands of dollars just to fix it and im scared to invest in such an expensive clutch, id really appreciate your help on this. I have personally never got a phone call bike from a YFZ 450r I sold that the clutch basket exploded. I do have upgraded Hinson clutch baskets in my YFZ 450r I race. If you have the budget it’s not a bad idea to swap out known weak points. But as far as it being your first mod day one. I would do big 3 first
hey bro, got a 2024 yfz 450 r se. Got a hmf eliptical exhaust on it paired with the dynojet power commander, same one like yours. Im getting the same uni filter. Could you tell me the map i need to use for it? It has never been dyno tuned. Also, i would also like to know the map for just the hmf exhaust with the stock air filter with the lid off. Thats the only mod i wanna put. An airfilter. Abd could you tell me the name of that oil/ grease you were using to lube the filters. Thanks
What power commander do you have? It will need a Dyno tune file. I sell ours for PC5, full exhaust, no air box lid for $100. The filter cleaner & oil I like for UNI is no-toil you can get it on Amazon or Rocky Mountain. It will last you a good amount of time.

I was thinking of a getting a full RP aftermarket intake. But i dont know how to tune it to that. That is the only negative part for me. I dont have nor know the tunes and in my country, we dont have any dyno tuning facilities here unfortunately so you gotta tune the stuff yourself
Yes I did the regular length. I like the sound. The tone is a little deeper. I had a 2023 Raptor do a shorty, pc6, FCI last week. The sound from the shorty is a little pitchier and does put up a little bit more power up top

That was my understanding. It reduces bump steer from what I have been told which I don't really have to worry about too much i have a precision steering elite . i'm setting up my raptor for cross country. What offset front tires are you running? I just ordered 4+1 dwt A5 also running same A arms, but now watching the video again I'm wondering if I should have ordered 3+2 ?? I've got the Lsr axcalibar +1+4 axle and I'll be using oe rear hubs, and 3+5 rear 9x8 wheel, but without having the 4+1 in hand im curious if I'll be able to match the rear width with the front or be within a ½in or ¼in ... do you have any insight on this if I'll be able to match the width front and rear or do I need to order 3+2 offsets. I can't be wider than 50in due to going behind gates were we ride id like to be 47½ 48in.. thanks man
You put the "Cuervo" map for single exhaust and Stage3 Hotcams no? Where i can search thar file? Or another files? I have only a exhaust (stock air intake and camshaft)... Thnks!! Amazing machine!!
I have the dyno file we install on customers bikes I can send you for $100. if you are looking for you bike to go on the dyno I am in GA so I only know of shops in FL that do it
You would have to get on the list with me and go over what all you are looking to get. Long travel shocks are custom built for the riders weight and riding style $1,100 so it needs to be set up for the rider the first time. Total build cost was around $19,500
Old school would be some ac or roll design maybe even pro armor bolt ons all the good companies are disappearing. My ltr was amazing now I had to settle for a brand new yfz 450r

All of the big names for exhaust are within 1hp of each other. I use dasa, rossier, RP race. Yes I would definitely get a programmer. If you are on a budget the optimization from hmf may get you by but I would not pay new price for it $80 maybe. You are going to want to upgrade to a power commander with a custom map or a vortex. Remove you air box lid and get a dual stage UNI air filter at the same time.

who did the tune for you? what kind of hp and tq numbers are you expecting for this? ive done a big 3 to my bike and its crazy how much it changes it, for the better. i considered going with a cam and a bigger TB but i dont want to ruin my machine for trail riding. where its at currently im riding mid to top of 2nd on most of our trails and its perfect!
I got the file for this one from Cuervo Racing. Highly recommended. Throttle response is spot on and power is there. No need to take this one to the Dyno. If you get used to the big 3 power the stage 3 cam on the Raptor has almost no bottom end loss. It gives you 3,000 rpm of useable power. If you look at the stock cam it stops making power around 6,000 rpm so you may as well shift to get back into the power range. With stage 3 it pulls all the way to redline.
I put engine ice in it just because I had it on the shelf. With the right tune I would guess it runs cooler than stock. I don’t have a coolant temp gauge on it

It’s all about the tune file that is loaded. I use one of our Dyno files and the throttle response is on point 😎 saves the customer $2-300 if they plan to only do big 3 or big 3 plus cams.
I can’t believe I finally found a video of this race! lol that’s me hating my life @13:35 that track was ridiculously narrow, to the point it wasn’t even fun to ride. I pretzeled a tie rod about 10 minutes in but managed to limp it back.
A lot was learned on that day 😅 if I would have had a mic on you would have heard it in my voice after the first corner. After 2-3 practice days playing with the set up. I gave in and took the shocks off to be sent out. They found this bike was set up for 230ish lbs 🤦♂️ I’m 165 so that’s why it was pushing so hard and overshooting every corner.
The speed sensor I believe it ignores, the tip you have to go in and select to turn off. I will write this down for the next YFZ 450r video coming up. I have a brand new Vortex I need to plug into the PC to set TPS voltage.
How hard is it to do a cam swap on these vs a trx450r? I been out of the game for ~10 years but now i have a 22 raptor and want to do it up. Thanks for making the video! Also, are you anywhere close to middle TN in case i decide to pay someone else to do the work?
Not to bad on the stage 3 cam install. Leave the auto decomp in until you pull the cam out. That would have saved me 15 mins messing with it. Raptor uses tappet valves I would say they are easier than shim under bucket. I’m in Woodstock GA. Just hit me up on instagram
