What a foolish waste of money and time, and very Bad example to be putting out for ignorant people to follow.. Rocker panels are structural this is one reason inspecting stations will fail the vehicle for saftey reasons. So you actually are putting people in danger by posting this foolish information. Anyone watching this DO NOT DO THIS.
Holy rust bucket.. good on you for fixing it and learning but few things I'll point out that bugged me lol 144 point ratchet? 144 tooth you mean lol also I couldn't help but notice the giant cracks in the frame on the passenger side that would scare the fuck outta me alone! If you're able find another frame or have someone a welder fix those cracks before it becomes more unsafe to drive. Again good on your for attacking this job🤘
Wanted to say Thanks as well Kurt! Of all the videos covering this topic, yours gave me the courage to try to tackle this. The induction heater was absolutely essential, well worth the 200 bucks I paid for it. Too tight to get a torch in there for sure. Also, I was able to get the lower front stud (the super PITA one) cracked loose with a 1/2" drive breaker bar, U joint and 15mm deep socket from directly below in between the motor mount and the AC compressor. My F150 is 2WD though, looks like the 4WD would require dropping the front drive axle.
On my LT1000 the steering gear configuration is different than shown. I can't find a video that shows my configuration. I'm not sure how to explain it.
I just setup the same exact unit in my 2010 ford f-150, my audio from CarPlay lags a little bit, do you have this same problem? How do I fix it? Thank you.
That's what the app is called. It allows you to configure and set up stuff to either have Android auto start automatically when you plug your phone in USB or once it connects wirelessly with the wireless server for Android auto. It also lets you use compressed audio so that it doesn't lag over wireless
Do you know what would need replaced on the new steering unit if that is very sloppy and has a lot of play in the steering wheel? Similar to the old one when that rubber boot wears out?
I clicked on the video because I wanted to see if the abs rocker panels have improved in design and I can make 2 observations. 1) the design is not any different and they still suck in so many ways; the metal panels are far superior. 2) your install of the abs panels is the cleanest I’ve ever seen, the truck looks amazing and if I thought I could get abs panels to look this good I’d use them too. The use of fluid film is a great idea and I’ll be using it for when I fix my rockers. Great video, bro! Subbed
The reason none of that stuff works is there is no lubrication on any of it. NEGLECT is why. Why don't people learn what grease is for and how to use it?!
