The sector gear steering in these older craftsman mowers SUCKS! They strip and end up with tons of play over years of abuse. The newer style that was introduced in 2002 was a much improved system but that was also the year they discontinued the opposed twin engines. So today we’re going to swap the steering from a newer style craftsman to our older tractor. It’s actually quite simple and only required a new drag link and the newer style steering assembly.
