Actually, I choose a diamond by its cut. I dont want light leakage. Ideal cuts are better than GIA triple X in my opinion. Facet angles are extremely important to me because it determines how good the light return is. I totally agree with you!! A cutter must sacrifice carat weight for a beautifully cut stone!

Natural diamonds have larger and overall more inclusions than lab diamonds and the inclusions will contain nitrogen, whereas lab diamonds don't. If you mean just by LOOKING at the diamonds though, you can't. They're chemically, physically, and optically THE SAME THINGS.
I have an important question. I have 2 princess diamonds that came out of some yellow gold earrings. They sink in water but when doing a dot test I can see through a bit.its my understanding that some facet cuts will allow you to see thru regardless when real. 😁🥰Thank you Garry I tried the jeweler and they said they could not get rid of the scratches on my anniverary band. That the scratches was there to stay. I thought it was no hope. It worked!!! I use a metal fairly new screwdriver to get rid of the scratches on my ring it really works. Thank you so much! I looked at several videos and also google looking for a miracle. Now I don't have to drive my husband crazy, and I did not need his help I can do this myself. I can't wait to share this with my hubby and family. Awesome!! Also I used a micro cloth to buff the ring what a shine.
