Diamond fluorescence - is it good or bad?
People say to us - I'm getting lots of conflicting information on the internet. If you come into the store, our sales team have got a document that they can help you understand the concept of fluorescence. They can show you diamonds that have fluorescence, because I am actually a fan of fluorescence. And again, in our Diamond Buying Guide, we have a page devoted to fluorescence with the most recent up to date information. Most of the information about fluorescence at the time that I'm making this video that I know has yet to be published by some of my associates. I've decided that I don't need to publish anything, because at the moment, it's a really, really good market because fluorescent diamonds come at a discount. I can get you a fluorescent diamond that is a beautiful diamond. More beautiful than a non-fluorescent diamond.
Lots of people don't believe that is possible because there's so much misinformation on the internet. But I am a scientist and I have got lots of gadgets and I've done lots of testing and I know how to tell the difference between a diamond that will have negative fluorescence effects and positive fluorescence effects.
