It's like a solemn version of Susumu Hirasawa's song, "Mediational Field", known popularly in the opening sequence of the highly-acclaimed animated film "Paprika". I just love how music connects our souls together through different cultures across space and time. This truly captures the imagination better to depict the "Cirle of Life". Thank you for this crreating this masterpiece and giving credit where credit is due 🙇
We are all going ”extinct.” The United Nations Office of Agenda 21 & Agenda 2030 are busy with plans to remove 4/5ths of the world population. And no one does or says anything. Like lambs to the slaughter.
Western culture is always and everywhere a colonial and thieving culture. They have not only exploited the underground and aboveground resources of all societies in the world, but also stolen their traditions, songs, values, science, in other words everything. And they continue to do so. Enigma is just one of thousands of examples. Western civilization is a virus for other traditional societies in the world. Just as they destroyed the Native American tribes, only enough struggle has saved them from doing the same to all other nations in the world. Every society must protect its own values and keep the new generations alert against the Western threat. We Turks have a proverb that goes like this: "Water sleeps, but the enemy does not sleep."
beautiful, i discovered this trying to figure out what the beginning part of enigma return to innocence was, there is no lyrics i could find for it, I wish i knew what it was in english, or if its just sounds?
And this song is one of many examples of why decolonization is important - to historically contextualize things like these which were appropriated without acknowledgement
Foram preciso mais de 30 anos para eu descobrir essa versão que nunca havia escutado..A versão return to inocence marcou a minha infância e mexe emocionalmente comigo
Wow! I’m literally just discovering the truth about this song. They always say there’s one song that represents your life-This is mine. I was 14 when I first heard it and it transported me somewhere else completely. I’ve played it ever since and it’s as if I’m hearing it the first time, every time I play it. I feel like I’ve come full circle with knowing the history. I’m so sorry it was stolen from this couple and family. We’re in a phase of unveiling and I hope it continues. I pray this family gets the recognition it deserves as there has never been a song quite like this one. It somehow makes me feel at home. I thank this couple for sharing this gift with the world. So much love and so much respect. May they rest in peace.
I am Panamanian, and my mother's people are the Ngóbe-Bügle. My father was a full blooded Spaniard...it always felt wrong that the line of my mother was called "savages and uncivilized", I learned the songs and the stories and will see to it that my child does as well. The blood knows, and the land does not forget. ñatoré mai "all will be well".
I mean this is literally the same song without the lame talking in it. But I mean, they did the chant right? Who made THIS music? I want to hear their actual chant without all the electronic music added. I’m sure the traditional chants of their people didn’t involve keyboards and synths.
Brings me to tears every single time I hear this. For me... a "soul source" that speaks to some deep part of me in a way I cannot explain nor fathom. I am so grateful for it's existence. Thank you Dinang and Igay for sharing your vocals and song. Thank you Enigma for discovering it, and sharing it for the rest of the world to know. It is magical!
I knew Michael Cretu wasn't being honest when he made Enigma. The name of the band is because he stole a lot of fragments of many songs around and made millions with his adaptations.
@@overwhelmingevidence4836 [Shut up you ignorant peasant.]This is your disgusting words to a Taiwanese man who explains this plagiarism lawsuit between Mr.Difang and Enigma. You think you can justify Enigma by insulting Mr.Difang and his fans?! I guess you heritage such quality from your family. Mr. Difang never need you or others credit, he sang for earth nature spirits and ancestors. Maybe you should try to find your little light of your poor life, since you live down in hell.
I grew up in the 90's and loved this track from Enigma. It wasn't until today that I found out who that man's voice belongs to. Beautiful. *EDIT:* I love how Difang and his wife's (Igay) voice compliment each other. I lack the musical vocabulary/terminology to explain it well but it's such a unique sound.
Never knew enigma was sampking this until now. The power of the internet. This is way cooler. The only reason anyone listens to the enigma song is for the chorus.
