That should have been carflexed or at least uf with uf connectors. And you definitely shouldn't use 2 different ocd for one feed without the handles being tied together. Not even temporarily. It's your job as a electrician to safe guard for the customer.
My Brother, you are working unsafe. You do not have on no safety glasses, face shield, glove, and fire resistant clothing. If there is electrical ark the temperature is going to be 35,000 degrees.
the solution should be to make a chart of electrical loads, and then request the repair of the energy meter or breaker... a two-phase installation but totally done without technical data, there are no balanced loads. I am not saying this because of the author of the video, I am saying this because of the installations that are seen in the video.
Metallic is fine. Just caulk the damned thing when you're done. It's not hard to do. Helps keep the weather out. And obviously use SOMETHING to clamp connections coming into the box. Great video, and great clean up of some other guy's mess. My heart hurt a lil' when I saw that filter drier right in front of that panel.
Anybody familiar with Florida Laws on Temporary Power poles? I have a vacant residential lot on in central Florida on a very narrow and soft road few cars would dare drive through. No houses in 1000' square feet. However, 200' away there is a power pole. I am yet to have a survey done, have been able to drive to the middle of the lot where I've camp. I'm looking for the cheapest way to get Duke Power to run me a temporary 100amp power connection. I called they said the county would need to inspect and I would need a building permit. I've heard you can get a permit for just a well pump. How about if I want to manually clear myself using electric? Also, soon I will be driving electric and need power to charge my truck.

Serious question... with the fountain issue at the end... you figured out that it had power so you thought it could be the fountain motor... if they decided to replace the motor themself and not use you... would you have charged them for coming out to inspect the situation and telling them what you found?? Or do electricians typically do that for free and only charge when they fix something?

I want to get into this trade, I’ve been trying to apply for apprenticeships on indeed. It’s so hard, I’ve applied for so many. A lot of them want experience, which I don’t understand because it’s an apprentice/entry level role? Also how much do electricians actually make? I feel like half the paycheck will be spent on tools or parts needed. How do we end up saving money?

I went into commercial electrical at the age of 35 coming from a Telecommunications background. Most of my coworkers are alot older than me. My goal is to one day get my masters 🙌. Thanks for the inspiration man. Liked and subscribed 👍.
