@@JaredWicke Appreciate the suggestion, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the TLR7X, feel free to keep me posted on how your CZ Compact is coming along. Full review coming soon….. Cheers
@@MyCalculatedRandomness so far I have around 1300 rounds through it with 0 issues. Adjusted the rear sight all the way up to be zerod for me. Have Vytal Krakens on the way to see how they feel since they have a 25% off sale going.
Nice, Congrats! Thanks for the insight. I have a range day coming soon, of which I'm looking forward to. I'll have a full review posted shortly thereafter. Cheers...
@@MyCalculatedRandomnessTLR7 & TLR8 lights are great lights and perfect for a sub-compact. The whole idea of a compact/sub-compact is to keep a small format so why chuck a huge light on it?
Completely agree, the referenced light was the TLR7X which is a compact light. I've owned and tried numerous light brands on all my platforms and I'm always opened minded to suggestions. Cheers
The manual recommends NOT engaging the safety when half cocked. They say it could damage the trigger. I just got a widened safety that is easier to flip on and off. Maybe an actual gunsmith can weigh in on this. I put around 1500 rounds through mine. Cocked and locked in my lvl2 holster. I don't have a CC permit.
Appreciate the heads up, I'm aware of the safety recommendation, however I'm not completely sold on the reasoning. Of which I"m currently looking into. How's the new safety coming along? Thanks for the information on the holster. I'll definitely check them out. Cheers...
@@MyCalculatedRandomness New safety makes it more AR15 like to easily switch on and off. Very audible and tactile click. Only complaint is I wish it was stiffer. I feel too little pressure is needed to disengace it.
@WilliamWaller-vm4wl Congrats on the CF C8 Edition bud. To clarify (reference pinned comment), It wasn’t traded for the Mustang Dark Horse. It was traded for a 2020 Shelby GT500 with an handling package and in my opinion there’s no comparison between the C8 Z51 and a 2020 Shelby GT500! The 2020 GT500 and the 2019 Porsche GT3 RS ran identical times on the track, with the GT500 running 10.50s stock in the quarter mile..ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ogxgxNfjxlg.htmlsi=5sUYbgEu5LpO9A1s
Depending on your Authorized Dealer (AD) relationship, they are definetely easier to get at the moment. Preowned/Newly un-worn are still above retail, but not by much. Only time will tell, as to when and if some of these AD's will get there act together.
@@Rometor Thankfully the official C8 replacement is an 2020 Shelby GT500 and the crowd suffering reports have been minimal with the Shelby’s! Nonetheless I appreciate your genuine heads up Lol! At the end of the day, never judge a book by its cover… I’m definitely not that guy.
Funny you say that, I have officially replaced the C8 with an 2020 Shelby GT500 with an handling package, uploads have been posted on the channel... Cheers ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jt_K86GWJbo.html
I'm an everything guy Lol. I've owned many different makes and models and lord knows I've purchased way to many in the past three years. Simply put, I have a passion for all cars. Cheers...
I've had mine just over a year, 8K, no issues.. added the AWE touring exhaust(phenomenal!) and changed out the DCT filter myself.. hope the new 70th is working well!!!
@@Steveleanr Appreciate the heads up bud, AWE makes an amazing exhaust to say the least. The 70th has been replaced by a 2020 Shelby GT500 with an handling package, absolute beast on the track and quarter mile. Having said that, I do miss my first C8, Rapid Blue, sentimental reasons! More content to come… Enjoy and be safe. Cheers
Great quesiton, 1k rounds later with no problems to report. Highly recommended platform to say the least. However, I'm leaning towards a double/single action for CCW. Hence, current testing with the CZ Shadow Compact. Full review coming soon..
And really how much power do you really need for just a common road unless you’re going to track the car how much miles do you really need to do to an engine that will flat out due 2.9 seconds and 0 to 60
@@jeffreyhillery1614 I would highly recommend doing your research, as the C8 has been replaced by a 2020, Shelby GT500 with an handling package, not the Dark Horse! The GT500 & The 991 Porsche GT3 RS are neck to neck on the track, which is just one of many examples of the GT500 performance.
By far the best comment Lol. Thank you! She really thought that I was purchasing another Rolex... Best thing is, she never ask for anything. Happy Wife, Happy 'Wife ;)
Appreciate the heads up. Agreed, I'm a fan of legacy and current Cartier as well. To be honest I have a huge passion for Horology in general, regardless of the brand or year, love them all! Cheers...
Good video, debated the exact same 2 cars . Weight matters way too much to go with the Coyote. The tremec makes it an absolute tough decision. Good for you, and good luck
@@jeffnoob8448 Much appreciated bud, the Dark Horse is an amazing platform to say the least. Having said that, the C8 replacement has finally arrived. We recently picked up a 2020 Shelby GT500 with an “Handling Package”, 760hp from the factory is just one of many perks! Good luck with your purchase and feel free to keep me posted. More content to come… Cheers
Life is way to short not to laugh and lucky for me I got thick skin, try again. This is hilarious! Suggest reading the pinned comment, C8 has been replaced by an 2020 SHELBY GT500 with an handling package!
Great question, to be honest I havent had any problems when drawing from IWB or OWB. Then again, safety manipulation is something spend a lot of time training with at the range. That said, I"m currently training with the CZ Shadow 2 Compact, which is a different platform when compared to the DWX compact. Full review of the CZ Shadow 2 Compact coming soon... Cheers
@@vincenguyen2956 Great question, the C8 is an amazing platform in a stock configuration. As a racer of many years, Its always nice to have the option of making over 700hp to the tires without having to rebuild the bottom end of the motor. C8 engines should have had better internals from the factory. Having said that, the C8 has been replaced by a 2020 Shelby GT500 with an handling package, 760hp from the factory and the engine can easily handle over a 1000hp with no problem. Not to mention its DCT transmission can also handle more power. At end of the day, it’s all personal preference and the only opinion that truly counts when spending your hard earned money, is yours 🤛👍. Cheers…
Appreciate the question bud. The first was the Geissele URGI 14.5 and the second was the Geissele Super Duty 14.5. @@Psychopower17 I learned how to drive a stick and race with a 1992 Foxbody, which became a very low 10 sec, quarter-mile platform and without a doubt I love them both. All of which is documented on the channel... Cheers
Hey man, I've shot several hundred rounds of nothing but subs though mine and haven't had a single jam. Winchester, Remington, Federal. All cycle just fine. You don't put cheap gas in your Dark Horse, right? 😉 Just saying it's the ammo for sure but you've probably figured that out by now. It's really fun to shoot with a little better ammo.
That's one way of looking at it Lol. Oddly enough the Dark Horse has been upgraded, as I just purchased a 2020 Shelby GT500 with a handling package👍. As far as confirmation of bad ammo, I haven't had a chance to confirm as I've been crazy busy with car content. Having said that, I'll be back at the range soon testing a few new purchases "CZ Shadow 2, Compact and the SIG M18X". Fingers crossed the DD ISR will perform as expected. I'll post some update thereafter... Cheers
@@BugzyFrank Like I said in the pinned comment and in the upload, we had something else coming. The C8 replacement has arrived, 2020 Shelby GT500 with a handling package! In my opinion there’s no world where the Z51 C8 compares to a Shelby GT500. Tho, there is a good argument for the C8 Z06 when compared to the Shelby GT500.
I guess It'a a good thing that I just purchased a Shelby GT500 in Silver instead of White for the channel.. Nonetheless you do have a good point Lol 👍!
