Graphics wise I have them on the highest apart from wake effects, since it’s pretty pointless having that. I have clarity in scopes prioritised and I tend to tweak audio a bit after each cache clear but it’s good to have effects volume up to hear footsteps better, just care when there’s too much armour around as it’s hard to hear people talk and can lead to ear damage. Everyone’s system is different too and it depends a lot on what your peripherals are so I don’t think listing numbers would be much help, test out what works for you and you’ll get a sense as you play

Yea I used to get it a lot. Unfortunately the best way is to just upgrade hardware as squad is a very suboptimally performing game. Otherwise dial down shadows first then other things like textures, in scope prioritise clarity in scopes (not AA) and make sure you uncheck the box to uncap texture pool as that causes the most stuttering. Clear cache and verify files too as this can also impede performance
no... that's not even remotely what happened. 2 very different mods from different modding community's. They got flagged and removed for stealing assets and going against OWI advertising policy, they were warned a week in advance and then the modders played dumb and fought against OWI and now they have to fix everything before they can upload it again.
@@nathanclark1889what do you mean by advertising? Usually you are allowed to advertise discord’s or other servers on/for other games what’s the problem? OWI is SUPER insecure about their player count. Ig.
From what I’ve read the mod devs burned in the ads for their GE server into the mod itself so every other server running the mod would see the ad to join their “official GE” server (called “The Real Invasion” allegedly). This understandably goes against OWI’s policy and their licence to host a listed mod was revoked due to this
Do you have to download 1000 mods to play this game like Arma? I tried for an hour last night to get into a multiplayer game of Arma and I couldn't figure it out.
Which emplacements and assets you get now depends on the layer or the battle group your team votes on. There is even a Turkish battle group that does in fact get HATs (but usually it's a trade-off, like no tanks)
i enjoyed your input alot, actually it's on point im a new player in squad i bought this game like 2 months ago and have 400 hours in the game now, i played alot of vanilla squad and fairly enjoyed it and one thing i can say it definetly promotes team play and sticking together as a squad and not going solo i know this because when i played any mod that removes what the ICO brought most of the time people are running solo, this brings me to GE, global escalation is the only game mode i played after i found out about it, its a great mix between ICO and old squad as far as i seen (i never played old squad but ive seen gameplay) the content it brings is fantastic but as you said vehicles kinda ruin the mod because there's too many and the CAS helis ruin the fun. i also played PRE ico and steel division , steel division is a great mod but very unbalanced and it basically turns the game into cod, the PRE ico mod is boring thats all i can say about it there's nothing fun about it tbh.
400 hrs in 2 months is impressive man! Appreciate the feedback. If we had more options to kill helis and CAS in GE then it would make it a lot more balanced in terms of vehicles and infantry, maybe with stingers and the like - which I haven't seen yet from any version of the game. Maybe they might come out if vehicles get an overhaul which we've seen hints for
