Hello! I have been practicing various occult philosophies for over 15 years. I am primarily a chaos magician, but I am also a witch, a psychic, and a shamanic practitioner, with a history of ceremonial magick and Zen Buddhism.
I am a healthcare professional by day, and an undergraduate student by night - double majoring in molecular biosciences and psychology. 13:50 yes absolutely. Subconscious picks up thousands bits of data per SECOND. The conscious mind doesn't care about it. How many windows are in the room, color of the door, color of the door knob, how many tiles are on the floor etc. So we just move along and don't care. There's a story about a man that walked into a room, looked around for 5 to 10 seconds and then walked out. The instructor asked a few questions, "what did u see, how many things" etc. the guy gave a few answers but mostly said "i don't know, i cant remember' He told the guy to come with him, and laid him on the couch and did a hypnosis session. .the guy revealed how many tiles on the floor, how many books were on the shelf, described the painting above the fire place. He even asked him, _"How many crystals are on the chandelier?"_ and the guy told him exactly what it was. Definitely an awesome things. Its like having a photo album. U can't remember what photo is on page 3 left side. Once u open it up, u see the photo, the bridge comes down, subconscious meets conscious and now u remember everything about that photo. Here comes the story etc etc. Really cool connecting subconscious to consciousness. Its like a huge storage container and youre sifting through it for direct answers.

This was a great video but I did feel a huge energy drain. Sarah did not mention grounding so I wonder if we should ground first or are we supposed to drain our own energy... like a sacrifice of sorts??? She did say you should feel exhausted so I'm thinking this is intentional for the ceremony. I'm curious... 💙💜❤
Ivy, I just love your channel and I love 💕 all the thought and careful attention you give to every community to which you belong. You are a very special person. I’m just coming into my understanding of myself as a witch in my 60’s and I’ve learned so much from you. I’m feeling very attracted to ancestral work; it feels like I’ve finally come full circle from when I avidly researched and recorded my genealogy in my early 20’s. For many years, I felt like I had abandoned my ancestors when life took me away from active research and I longed to resume searching out more about them. But I wanted something more than just names, dates and places; I longed to get to really know them. Now that I’ve had a little time to watch lots of different witchy videos on a huge variety of witchcraft, pagan and Celtic spirituality topics, I’m finding a deepening interest in shamanic witchcraft. As I’ve been listening to different accounts of people working with those on the other side of the veil, it’s dawning on me in slow motion that hey, HEREIN is that method for really interacting with and getting to know my ancestors! Have you read Nancy Hendrickson’s books Ancestral Tarot (in which she teaches readers how to begin communicating with their ancestors using a standard Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot deck) and Ancestral Grimoire (where she takes you through constructing Books of Shadows for specific ancestors)? There are several Tarot and Oracle decks that are dedicated to ancestral work such as Carrie Parris’ Relative Tarot and Beloved Dead Oracle, both of which feature photos of people who actually lived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and quite a few others, depending on the specific focus of the work being done. this was fascinating from start to finish! 👏 loved all of the info Sara shared and in such a unique, genuine way. i doubt i'll be using Solomonic magic anytime soon, but this does inspire me to incorporate more writing and use of language in my craft.
I want to thank both of you. Myexrended family are Jewish and my Grandmother believe we can be traced back as Basque Jewish people. I had to stop and question too. You've echoed my thoughts. Also, my cousin has told me that Jewish people from Isreal are very differwnt than the majority of the community. I'm sure that's a factor. There are Jewish people all over the wiold, so the pot has been mixed, but I think it's good to understand as much as ypu can about the cultures behind it. I agree. I don't feel Solomon wrote the key either. It takes discernment. 😂 I felt I wanted to work with these spirits, but without the curruption conceots in the text, so I so apprecuate this. I don't practice Solomonic magic, but I work with beings that say they are sometines seen as demons. Their roots are in Shinto. Djinn interest me as well and I want to honor them respectfully. I started building a relationship with Valac, but wasn't sure how to approach it, so I took a break and have been researching and meditating on this. I am not sure what I'd do with thus bond. Samael and Lucifer are the same person, Samael was his true "Angel" name, Lucifer is his "Fallen" name, but yes definitely an Angel. There are no writings I've ever found saying the demons of the Christian faith are or were at any time angels, I've always personally believed the demons of the Christian hell are human souls (disclaimer - I have believed this since I was 12, I'm 48 now so long before the show Supernatural adopted that theory). If you think about it we humans have done worse to each other throughout history than anything the stories of hell talk about. By the way I'm not Christian I'm Pagan, but my father is a minister, we've had many debates about these subjects. Also a 6 pointed star is not a pentacle, pentacle/pentagram stars are always 5 pointed stars. The 6 Pointed star, also known as the Star Of David, represents the 6 attributes of God: wisdom, majesty, power, love, mercy, and justice.
Lol this aint wicca we don't need a relationship with him to do this Magick and yes this is one system that should be followed as close to the book as possible.
Damions book is great, I still like Modern Magick best as far as those beginner books go, Mastering Witchcraft, All of Jason Millers books. Agrippa, Levi, the Magus John dee Etc so many great books but for mostly the older the better.
I LOVE the little sidenote at ~ 55:00 when Sara talks about Demons and Angels and says "those names are more like a job description, and not a species description". From what I gathered from my studies of ancient Greek and Latin Angels and Demons are Spirit. That's their "species". Spirit has the capacity to be an angel or a demon. Same as humans. We have the capacities to be evil or good. Both is possible. And yea😊.. I just love the confirmation from someone SO well read like Sara. Also I love that this possibility to look at it finds it's ways into the main streem through talks like this. Thank you both so much for sharing this amazing conversation! ❤
Thanks for making this accesable and easy to understand. I got Bananabrains last week when I tried to read "Lesser Key" - It's also refreshing that Sarah is completely honest and doesn't take everything so overly dramatic serious and dares to say what she thinks about her relation to sekhmet and Michael and Crowley. It's subjective. I have Sekhmet in my bedroom and Michael is very calming to me. But I appreciate that this video is so easy to get an understanding of Solomon. Thank you both. Coming back to the word שָׂרָה, is it possible that it also refers to the word שָׁרָה (sharah) - Strong 08281: to let it loose, set you free ?
it is absolutely possible, yes. What's most important is that you match your keva (ritual precision - in this case, the exact words you wrote) to your kevannah (mystic intention).
@@SaraMastros Thank you very much for your response. Yes, I consider that we can use certain Power Names or Words as long as (especially) we know what they correspond to, otherwise, the effect is reduced or null. Thus, kevannah must underlie keva.🙏
I love this discussion but as someone who hates cops and loves Sekhmet and Michael I can't stand for this slander lol. For me they are protectors for everyone, not just the elite.
I think a close examination of their history and myth might be illuminating. For example, in Sekhmet's central myth, she is slaughtering the people for making fun of the elite. But, of course, you do you.
