I've found sending your employer a picture of the relevant laws an excellent way to shut them up! But seriously, please do some research if something doesn't feel right about the way your employer is treating you, chances are what they're doing is illegal, and they're counting on you not knowing that. And under NO CIRCUMSTANCES do you accept to do unpaid overtime. That is illegal as *fuck*, and in some companies can actually result in *you* being fired. Luckily, I enjoy my current work. I have pretty much all the same breaks/rules as my higher-ups, and we all use the same "break" room (it's technically the meeting room, but there's almost never any conflicts time-wise). There's a couple things I miss out on being a part-time worker (like insurance benefits), but I'm double-covered by my parents insurance for several more years. I'd gladly take a full-time position if one opened up though!
Ok uh... That motion sensor in the bathroom is clearly just that. I see them in multiple places, it senses motion and turns on the lights, not a camera 🤦🏻
My friend from Houston once lost her cat. It turns out, he traveled all the way back to Houston. He was lost for two years. After she got him back, he got sick. So his last days were lived to the fullest.
When you are given a lot of coins check to see if there are any rare ones because chances are there will be. A rare penny can be worth anything from a few dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars. I live in Australia and recently sold a 20c piece for $300 ,I got it in my change from a supermarket.
The macarons post, the only pack option where you're saving money is the 18 piece pack. Buying 6 individual ones would cost $16.8 Buying 12 individual ones would cost $33.6 And buying 18 individual ones would cost $50.4
Employer refuses vacation time, and coincidentally, you call in sick on the very dates you asked for your annual leave all before practising your 'phone-sick voice'. It's such a coincidence 😅 😂
I have a confession. I work in recruitment and I'm responsible for onboarding successful applicants into the care sector. I had to pull the plug on one person because not only did her reference reveal some VERY unpleasant things about her that she'd tried to bury in her application, but she'd been a thoroughly rude little madam to me on the phone. (Tip: don't be rude to people you are hoping will give you a job.) We withdrew our job offer, but when I came to write the withdrawal letter, I couldn't help but notice her birthday was only a week or so off. So having printed and signed the letter, I set it aside a few days... and posted it so that it would arrive just in time to wreck her birthday.
0:49 It is much betterer than that. It is in fact a shipping ship shipping ship shipping ship shipping shipping ship shipping ships shipping shipping ships, and shipping shipping ship shipping ships shipping shipping ship shipping ships shipping shipping ships.
I have a friend who is blind that lives up in Seattle. He frequented a Thai restaurant near his home. He told them how they could get their menu in braille and they did. Always thought that was awesome.
Okay. That "Goodnye California! Hello San Francisco!," one may have a rational explanation. She may have been attending California State University and switched to the University of San Francisco. It's California, so what she actually meant could be anything, but I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt.
That first one plucked my heart immediately. It reminded me of when we brought our dog home. It was a long car ride, poor thing threw up from the winding road (he was a puppy at the time). But after we got home, he got up between us on the couch and went to sleep. He had a bed already made for him, and could've laid anywhere. But he got up on the couch and laid between us.
I worked for a Dr who couldn’t stand to see people sit. She expected me to chart whilst standing at a computer desk in a very awkward non-ergonomic fashion. And she was a pain management physiatrist. The irony. I gave them 1 day notice when I left and worked for a great company after that.
