hi great video congratulations..i hope you are doing great ..can i ask you a quick question please? i want to build a smaller version of the light house for a lamp...how to decide the width at the base with respect to the width on the top of the base ? thanks
Great job. Good feeling when the engine purrs. Put new injectors on my 7.3 IDI and the engine purred. Was running like real bad for a long time before that. Next is the injector pump.
My 6300 went into a coma a couple of days ago. Your video helped resuscitate it. I just used a dab of hot glue to increase pressure on the switch. Seems to work fine now. THANKS.
Any ideas why the pump started working then sat for few months then won't get fuel. Then out of injection line did a few sperts then stopped agen but won't take fuel or pump any ideas
Pull power shift all the way back for reverse. I been running a 970 for many years. Reverse doesn't work in 4th range but only 1,2,3 ranges only!!! Do not leave the tractor in reverse when sitting still or the power shift will be tore out of it from overheating!!!!!!! Yes it will go & stay in reverse sitting still if you leave the power shift in reverse & the range ( tall leaver) is in neutral. Don't leave in reverse sitting still!!!
Great set of videos. This has been the first video I have seen where some-one actually has shown where the fault has been. Just wondering also if any knows why my diesel will start and idle but does not have any power?
Love my 484 built in England 1980 . Bought it new and she’s still running strong , I painted it last year, no dents , new tires ,looks good . The D 179 is a great engine .
You haven't taken the age of the machine and it being cold into consideration have you? That isn't one of the new machines with all the emissions crap on it.
That's it buddy. Thanks for posting this video. I pulled my switch, cleaned the whole inside with electric parts cleaner and it's good. Maybe using a bit of glue to hold the switch in place will help?
No not really, if it wasn't for that broken head bolt that cost me 3 days. Also check your glow plugs while heads are off. I had to change mine shortly after. Would of been 5 minute job when the heads were off.
@@michaeljp86 I got a 94 with 150xxx so I’m hoping the head bolts don’t break. If the block needs to be machined flat I take off more than .10 that will change the compression would everything stock handle the higher amount of compression
@@paulnanegos7244 the head bolt that broke on mine was where a head gasket had blown out and the previous owner ran straight water in it. So I think that's what rusted it in. You can get thicker head gaskets to make up for machining.
The old engine oil is indeed in a terrible state... almost like someone put SAE 80 or 90 in the engine.... IS this the first time you change the oil on this engine? If not, then perhaps water dilution caused the oil to thicken...
Wonderful video, thank you for sharing this. I have a sears roebuck 700-429 wagon very similar to yours. However, it has some sort of sissor lift mechanism over the front axle. I cannot find any info on it. It is missing the hydraulic ram so I'm not sure how it worked originally. Let me know if you know anything about it. thanks
