Typical “Culture” advise. I agree yes, you shouldn’t be out here taking about peoples business. I’ll never understand why it’s not “cool” to act like this.
One man is looking at the game from a realistic perspective, and the other an idealistic perspective. LaRuseell has acknowledged the status quo (in OTHER people's bag) and proceeds to maneuver with that information (successfully) And Big bruh has Ideals of a more lucrative piece of their pie. 100% put your stuff on THEIR platform, use that as bait to grab a wider audience, and funnel them to YOUR independent storefront/ streaming platform, I feel like LaRuseell understands that as the current affair, and he capitalizes off that..
LaRussel is right. Its fair game on streaming. Unless you're willing to put in the effort to build out a whole streaming platform like JayZ did with title, then you're getting a fair deal.
@@itsuptherepodcast doesn't change the fact that you stepped all over the jewel he was trying to share with us about the benefits of streaming. I was really looking forward to hearing his perspective on it fully as it would have been the first time I've seen an artist speak on streaming in a positive light.
U NEED TO FIND A STREET TO PLAY IN! IM THE FACILATOR OF THE CONVERSTION YOU ARE A NPC, WE ARE HAVING A DISCCUSION IN WHICH LARUSSEL IS SEEKING MY INFO AS IM HIS
@@itsuptherepodcast im not coming at you sideways OG, I'm saying LaRussell was trying to make a point of how the streaming game works, and to be fair both of yall had good points, but you kept interrupting him. I salute you for having him on, he's changing the game as we speak, just some constructive criticism, let the guest elaborate and expound on their point, AND THEN come back with your thoughts. Articulation and comprehension= effective communication, but we can't comprehend where one has no space to articulate. Much love to you OG ✊🏾
He's right, they built the infrastructure that allows your music to reach a larger audience without you having to pay for physical distribution. For the amount of artists their platforms support that have to be paid, the fractions make sense. So, the bigger your audience the more streams you'll get leading to more money.
Soldier boy 🪖🪖 fixing to write a check his ass can't cash ...Js..Love the channel loon really enjoy the way you critically think..Comon sense ain't to Comon these days....BbL Drizzy into Beastiality?!?!.Shiz Will evilness at Its core....
Damn double comment alert. LaRussell just minimized the artist contribution as well as their fans that they bring to these platforms.! He’s happy to be in the masters house! That’s what he saying man is fucking pathetic! If I thought like that, I would not be a billionaire right now fax I’m telling you guys fax on my soul!
I super disagree with LaRussell just because you were once broke doesn’t mean that you have to take a hand out and be happy with it. It’s that mentality that’s never gonna allow that man to be a billionaire. Yeah he can make a few hundred thousand but it’s giving we’re just happy to get the white men’s pennies! Nigga you ain’t going nowhere not nowhere real. This shit is really about prizability you get what you negotiate.! His message is be happy to get money regardless that’s bullshit, man! That’s a EBT mentality! “as long as I get some money from the EBT office I’ll be straight. I didn’t have nothing last week” that’s what he pretty much just said!
Same dash told us what one stream really worth NGZ ain't listening tho and write him off but when he say a stream worth $100 believe him one stream really worth $100
LaRussel sees things clearly. The interviewer wants to believe there is a system out there trying to get people. The reality is that nobody is that important, most people should get over themselves, it is not that deep. Only 15 years ago most people did not get paid because of illegal downloads, at least these companies are trying to pay the artists. It may not be enough but they are trying. As an aside, a real solution to the problem he has identified is for artists to set up their own not for profit more equitable streaming service. But nobody wants to actually do the work.
@@itsuptherepodcast He's not trying to discredit anyone while making a point And he doesn't know the interviewer's name. I don't either, I'm just a visitor here. LaRussell is just trying to explain the actual math of the situation. The math that he was explaining was pretty simple and the way splits like that almost always work, because they should! The facilitator of a product and it's infrastructure are looking to and should be paid. Millions of artists make them billions of dollars. If you split it equally, what about the artists who were streamed 100x more than the average artist? If you streamed 1b times, should the guy who just put his one song up and got 42 listens get the same amount? And Spotify should do all that they do and not make profit? Sometimes, especially when involving money, people want things to work out in THEIR favor. Make a situation that works it out in your favor, but then find out that you are either doing it nearly alone, or you become Spotify. Some people just don't want to hear that their perspective MIGHT be off.
@@fkanous6077 before you are critical and say what one mans outlook is you need to know the man you speaking about and why larussel will have that conversation with him, i stand in what i said
It's simple math bro, can't buss down $13 billion/11 million artist is barely $1181/artist. Then offset by listens, still not much. The corner dry bruh
@@itsuptherepodcast cause I didn’t take it dat jus cause he wanna sit down with these guys he wants to be in there circle. I feel like as a man we should be willing to have face to face dialogue even if we don’t agree. Saying it on the internet is wher he went wrong in the first place. I fuck wit ur channel tho
@@itsuptherepodcast these critiques right here will take your podcast to the next level! Don’t be too quick to push ya potential audience away. Development comes from feedback. Looking forward to future episodes!
Jay-Z most likely no longer involved with day to day business of Rocnation. He’s just the figurehead to stamp them. I agree with Homie backing out the deal if it didn’t feel right. We gotta understand Hov a billionaire he’s not involved in these day to day decisions which includes contract writing!
Rap is over. Its too many non blk not from the hood ppl doin it and dressn dsncing imitating hip hop. Hip hop is blk hood culture. Hussler. Drug dealer. Then dancing. Then parties. Then djs.
