The issue isn’t Drake being Canadian, mixed or a wack artist. He IS NOT of the Hip Hop culture and purists have said it the whole time. It just so happens that Kendrick is one of the biggest rappers today and he’s also a PURIST. Check this, Tyler, the Creator is considered corny to the “general listening” public but EXTREMELY talented. Who would win if he went against Drake? TYLER, authenticity wins…in Hip Hop. This is Hip Hop and Drake isn’t really competing, he’s defending his right to be whoever/whatever he ISN’T instead of standing on who he is!
