Such a cool, unique trooper/mando hybrid design. I think the more streamlined and agile appearance really fits due to this being an elite commando. Nice review!
I just saw one at my local gamestop...but decided to get a boba fett hasbro blk series helmets instead! There was only 1 of this figure and 1 helmet in stock too!
This having a pin head is why I like removable helmets with a head sculpt. Some older 3&3/4" stormies had a generic head with balaclava, under the helmet. Sculpt and design look great. The Imp Patrol Trooper is one of my faves. This is up there with that. Luke said the knees bend past 90° but didn't even achieve that. The articulation could be much better.
I had higher expectations for this figure. Yes he looks good, but the helmet looks small to me and I don't like that the knee armor is fixed above the knee. Looks good in a standing pose but bending the knees just makes the figure look weird, like how the clone troopers used to be.
@@RyanByrne999 That's a bit hyperbolic. Lukeness wants to see Hasbro do better, and is at least vaguely aware of their business practices. But my problem is that he, and many others in the community, seem to think that better sculpts = better figures. And for whatever reason most people are completely looking past the regression in the overall value in the box (less articulation, less paint, etc.). I agree with them that overall the sculpt work and details have gotten really good in the Black Series overall. But that shouldn't be accepted in trade for fewer features.
The helmet does seem small, however if you look at the suits when they’re standing around as the Mandalorians are captured in S3E7, the helmets do look really tight on the actor’s heads
This new trooper figure looks great and I've got 2 of them on order. Definitely looking forward to getting some of these figures. Thanks for the review LukenessMonster 👍
1:46 “Some people?!” I have a name, sir! 😂😂😂 Also, be careful on the jetpack. The boosters are separate pieces and just plug into the backpack. They can fall out and get thrown away resulting in “some people” having to dig through the trash to find them. 😳
@@Lukenessmonster 🤣 I will agree though, certain poses make it look pretty good. I think the neck is just the tiniest bit too long. Great review, dude!

I have to admit as a 30 plus year collector, my collecting has gone down because of the content agendas by Disney, pushing all the “woke” junk…..it should be good vs evil and all the great stories without all the crap
It's nice to hear hasbro read our comments ❤ Personally i believe hasbro are tied into making crappy new media stuff instead of figs we actually want. There are so many figs they could make that would sell compared to the new media shit 🤷 P.s. no MacFarlane 😩 the halo 3 figs were good back in the day but the rest are terrible
I've been collecting Star Wars action figures since 07. From the 30th anniversary, Saga, Legacy, TVC, Black Series and Clone Wars. I can honestly say it was better before Disney bought Lucasfilm, I remember seeing many different characters on the store shelves and now that Disney got a hold of it we get very few new characters and a whole lot of repaints and repacks. The 6-ft rat is the problem with them telling what Hasbro can and can't make. I just saw at Walmart the Black Series Acolyte figures and they've been sitting there for weeks now with only one or two being sold out of their little display. Plus all all the 5 point articulated Star Wars figures that never sell. With all the figures that end up at Ollie's I wouldn't blame Hasbro for getting out of the deal.
Crazy that the biggest movie based toy franchise of all time might be ending. Disney really KILLED Star Wars, not even up for debate at this point 😢. Tbh hasbro should buy Lucasfilm, not that they’re great but probably better than what we’ve gotten from the Disney-Kennedy shit machine. Also, Mattel sucks ass, let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.
Hasbro buying Lucasfilm would be a good fix. It reminds me of when Toy Biz, who made Marvel figures in the 90’s-00’s, ended up buying Marvel Comics to save them from bankruptcy.
Yeah if they keep making their fucking cash cow figures exlcusives and almost impossible to get because said exclusive retailers only beleive in 1 or 2 restocks every HALF century where 90% of buyers are just scalpers and where half the time the buys or pre orders arent even honored. Seriously absolutely 0 reason a cash cow figure like Clone Wars Anakin and Obi wan should be impossible to find exclusives, and same goes for some of the most popular characters point BLANK like fives and Echo, and god only KNOWS why army builders like Appo or the 501st 2 pack are exclusives. Like seriously not just as collectors but what kids are even REASONABLY able to get their hands on these things. Every kid will want an Anakin or Obi Wan and random foot soldiers but its almost like Hasbro is fucking ALLERGIC to money and ONLY wants to give easy money cash cow figures to retaliers who cant be bothered to do more than a MINISCULE amount of stock
I hate to see this channel feed into a garbage rumour like this. If you think Hasbro is going to allow themselves to lose the Star Wars license or give it up you don't know business geez
That’s fair. We thought it would be a fun conversation but I see your point about perpetuating rumors. As far as the likelihood of it happening from a business standpoint, it is possible though. “The Big Bang Theory” was CBS’s most popular and they had to end up canceling it because it cost too much to pay the actors. Things like this happen all the time.
I'd be completely out if McFarlane got the license. I won't start a 7" collection, and I don't like his lack of attention to scale. His DC figures are all over the place, with various characters towering over others. Hell, Batman doesn't even scale with other Batman figures! Some are closer to 8", while others are barely 7". It's insane.
This is very true. I don’t know why it’s a consistent issue with McFarlane, but it does happen a lot…Sometimes within a single figure. 😂 A lot of them end up with massive heads, squatty arms, and REALLY long legs. Lol
@lukenessmonster Nailed it! Disney is just making these shows and movies to sell merch. They're not worried about the stories or writing as much. I knew there was a reason why Hasbro didn't kick out a re-release of the Speederbike for the ROTJ 40th.
