Good video mate, thank you. Good to know that cheaper primers shrink more, but for home diy guys like me, leaving it a week or two before basecoat is worth the wait.Keep these experiments coming, a great source of knowledge for newbies like me.

So you spray without sanding between coats ok. Spray can leave as bad a surface texture without buffing so what’s your point?

What type of wires are those exactly? Do they have clamps on the ends?
@lowcountrylowdown9000
@lowcountrylowdown9000 8 дней назад
Those are honestly just some scrape wire with the male end of a spade connection going into the dewalt battery. I think he has one small aligator clip on the other end for one wire and the other is just hand twisted wire. There are more appropriate ways to do this but in a pinch, it works! I can't remember what guage wire it was, just some scrape peices we found somewhere. 14, 16..i'm not sure

you have performed a fair assessment and I think your review is your experience and your call. just wondering if it would behave better after a few weeks of the undercoat having fully cured. fresh paint in my experience separates quite easily from the prepped metal.

@lowcountrylowdown9000 9 дней назад
that makes sense...I am keeping all of these test panels and can always beat them up after some time passes. I will probably make a mention of this in my next video. Thank you for commenting, I do like the idea of giving them some time to cure out further.

flow coat will leave a ring over time if you break threw the "flow coat " layers... there is a mechanical bond vrs a chemical bond... we stack clear 6 to 8 coats... but start cutting with 600... i dont car what anyone says... you can not cut urethane wave out with 1000 grit paper... you will have a high gloss ripple paint job if you cut with 1000.... arcylic blocks ...start at 600... finish grit is another argument.... cut compound leaves more coarse scratch then 3000 or 5000 .. so no need to sand that fine....

After you have been painting cars long enough you will understand when and where to flow, when and where to stack. Neither one is right all the time. I personally flow coat the next day, never untape, and have never had an issue, but 75% of what I flow coat is a disassembled part, so washed off clear isn't in the cracks.

I think the right next step should be to do the related blood tests panel and don't jump directly into the supplement spiral. You should to check for the vit B spectrum, vit D, magnesium, zinc, folate, cpk and homocisteine (for inflammation process) levels and see if there is some correlation with the gene mutations that affect a specific methylation cycle. If you find deficencies or alterations then you have at least now a correlation with the alleged mutation and then can try to rebalance with supplements and proper diet...otherwise I'm not sure how much could be helpful...for example is not uncommon to have people with gene variants of 5-MTHFR that can process folic acid without any issue. Well in any case hope you find some benefit in a way or another
