Nice selection Tony I've only got mainly the early Paradise Lost stuff and very little Overkill. Good to see some Septic Flesh and the Paths of Possession albums 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Nice one Tony! Love some Overkill, though I haven't got/listened to any of the albums you showed. I'll definitely have to try and pick up a couple of them, I would like to get some more Overkill in my collection. Pantera are awesome, have all those albums and they're all great! I'm not too worried about the 80’s albums, Power Metal is decent. The only Paradise Lost album I can get behind is Icon, it reminds me of Metallica which I like. Paths of Possession I need to check out, Corpsegrinder's other project right? I remember you showing that Rumplestiltskingrinder album in the past. Great stuff! 😁🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@JoshKeech Thanks for watching Josh! Yeah, you should definitely pick up more Overkill! Awesome thrash band! Pantera are great but not bothered with their glam metal 80's stuff. I'll stick with the Pantera I know and love 😁🤘. You should really give Paradise Lost another chance. They're a terrific band. Path of Possession is definitely one of Corpsegrinder's side project. A very solid death metal band to check out! Finally, Rumpelstiltskin Grinder are a thrash metal band to check out!
@tainted_lord87 You're welcome mate! Yeah, I really do, they're a great band. Currently, I'm looking at getting the early Overkill albums, then I'll move onto the more recent ones. The late 90's and 2000's albums are tough to find. That's fair enough man, I'm the same. I gave Power Metal a go but I'll stick with what I have. Yeah ok man, I've never really been into the Gothic Death-Doom stuff, but I might have to try some more of their stuff. Ah nice that's cool, yeah I'll definitely have to check out Paths Of Possesion as I dig Corpsegrinder! Yeah man, I'll check out Rumplestiltskingrinder too! Cheers! 😊🤘🏻
Killer to see Paradise Lost, Primordial and SepticFlesh! SepticFlesh are in my top ten favorite death metal bands of all-time list and as a proud Greek descendant from my ancestors, they make me proud of my heritage. Awesome Symphonic Death Metal with beautifully crafted orchestrated arrangements, fantastic musicianship, well-balanced stylings and one of the undisputed kings of the genre next to Fleshgod Apocalypse 🙌
That Far Beyond Driven album cover is the best cover of there's imo i have all there albums when they moved on from the glam stuff but yeah great collection along with Overkill brother 🤘😎
@@SamuraiRed-ui4ww Thanks! For me though, I thought Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power album cover is the best one. But Far Beyond Driven album cover is a close second. Yeah, Overkill kicks ass! 🤘😎🤘
Amazing choices with Overkill, Paradise Lost, Pantera, Primordial, and Septicflesh. I got one CD today and it’s Sigh’s Scorn Defeat. I wanted to get Imaginary Sonicscape and I know you have that one but it was out of stock. Scorn Defeat is my first Sigh album I own and a great debut for the band.
@@mindful2864 Thanks for watching! Yeah, all those bands are amazing! Very cool you picked up Sigh's Scorn Defeat. That's an awesome album to start with Sigh.
@@DylanTheCDCollector Thanks for watching Dylan! Yeah Overkill and Pantera are great! Paradise Lost went through a lot of changes but still are a great band!
Immolation, Killswitch Engage, Immortal, Jungle Rot, Kalmah, Mors Principum Est and my love for Lacuna Coil? Agent Lee, stop ripping my heart out on bands that influenced my taste 😂
From Hatebreed to Helix! Love it! I have to admit that I lost interest in KE after Howard left. I saw them live with Jesse, and I was so disappointed in the vocals.
@@This-Is-Music Thanks for watching Kim! Yep, I'm the type of person who enjoys pretty much everything. That's unfortunate that Jesse didn't lived up to your expectations when you saw Killswitch Engage live.
@@This-Is-Music Thanks for watching Kim! I have no idea. I still think Five Finger Death Punch are a good band. I just haven't listened to them in a while. I fell off the boat with them. Lots of death metal is a balanced diet 🤘😁😆.
So much awesome stuff in this one Tony! Love some Immolation, Immortal, Killswitch Engage and Lamb of God! Need to check out those Immortal albums, and a couple of those Immolation albums. I'm only missing 1 album each from KSE and Lamb of God. Need to check out some Hatebreed and Jungle Rot. Nice one man! 😁🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@JoshKeech Thanks so much for watching Josh! I don't have a lot of Immolation or Immortal albums. But the ones I showed off is definitely albums to check out. Hatebreed & Jungle Rot are bands that will satisfy you...I hope 😅😆. You can't go wrong with Lamb of God or Killswitch Engage.
@tainted_lord87 You're welcome mate! That's fair enough man, I don't have any Immolation or Immortal albums! But yeah, the ones you showed I definitely need to check out. Oh yeah, I think I'll enjoy Hatebreed and Jungle Rot a lot, just never given them any time. Yep, Killswitch Engage and Lamb of God are awesome bands, love them! 😁🤘🏻🤘🏻
Nice one Tony! My dad really likes the later Decapitated albums. I have a couple of their early albums now, curtesy of Simon! My collection went from 0 to 2 over the last few months! Never listened to Dying Fetus but I've had them on my list for a while. Love the early Deicide albums, I haven't listened to them enough. I like bits from their discography. Hail of Bullets I have on my list to check out too 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@JoshKeech Thanks for watching Josh! Pretty damn awesome to know your dad's a Decapitated fan. I really need to check out the earlier stuff from Decapitated. You must check out Dying Fetus for some glorious death metal! Deicide are a solid band! I got to check out the early stuff from Deicide. Hail of Bullets are another band that you must check out!
@tainted_lord87 You're welcome mate! Yeah, my dad likes the later Decapitated stuff, he really likes that song Homo Sum. You really should check out some of the earlier Decapitated, it's like 90's Death Metal taken to a new level! I definitely need to check out some Dying Fetus, they're highly regarded indeed. Yeah, Deicide are awesome! You should check out Once upon the cross by Deicide, I like it more than the debut! And Hail Of Bullets are another band I need to check out, I'll get to them one day! Cheers 😊🤘🏻
@@seditionthroughscorns I knew you will love this. I anticipated your excitement once I showed off Fleshgod Apocalypse 😁. Decapitated & Dying Fetus = 🤘😎🤘
Nice collection man! Cool to see Decapitated and Dying Fetus! I’m not a huge fan of Deicide but I respect your opinion on them and I outgrew on Five Finger Death Punch a year or so back.
@@DylanTheCDCollector Thanks for watching Dylan! Yeah Decapitated & Dying Fetus are both awesome bands! I do enjoy Deicide but I don't consider myself a huge fan. Just a casual one. There was a time that I was super into Five Finger Death Punch. But like you; I slowly outgrew them. However I still enjoy those Five Finger Death Punch albums that I showed.
A lot of "C's" this time Tony! Cannabis Corpse and Cattle Decapitation I've never listened to, but I am interested to check them out. You know I love Carcass, Surgical steel is one of my favourites by them! Never listened to Cradle of Filth, CoC or Crowbar. Darkest Hour are a band I've wanted to check out for a while, they sound right up my street. Cheers man, look forward to the next part 😁🤘🏻
@@JoshKeech Thanks for watching Josh! I'm surprised you never listened to Cattle Decapitation. But definitely check them out and Cannabis Corpse. Oh yeah for sure! Carcass Surgical Steel is a great comeback album. Do check out Corrosion of Conformity, Cradle of Filth, Darkest Hour & Crowbar. All awesome bands!
@@tainted_lord87 You're welcome mate! Yeah, just never crossed my mind to ever check them out. I'll have to at some point I'm sure, and Cannabis Corpse too. yep, Surgical Steel is an amazing comeback album from Carcass. Yeah ok man, I'll definitely have to check out those bands at some point, cheers 😊🤘🏻
@@DylanTheCDCollector Thanks for watching Dylan! Cattle Decapitation are an awesome band. I'm a pretty big fan of Cradle of Filth. Absolutely love their older stuff the most. Darkest Hour are also awesome as well!
@@GustavoScafuro Thanks for watching Gustavo! Yeah, Bloodshoteye are a good band. It's a shame they split-up though. Danko Jones We Sweat Blood is a solid album. Good luck with Simon's contest as well!
@tainted_lord87 You're welcome mate! Yeah, that's really good of you to support Simon's channel by making a video. Yeah man, it's relatively simple the task 😁🤘🏻
Thanks Tony! Nice picks mate really appreciate you doing a vid 🤘🏻 I know you're not bothered about the prize but I'll put your name down for the draw 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@HM2dylanpowell Wow! It must feel surreal to had bought Tales from the Thousand Lakes 30 years ago. But yeah, Amorphis absolutely rules! Thanks for watching Dylan!
Nice one Tony! Went through a lot of "A's" here! All That Remains are a band I've wanted to check out for a long time now, This Darkened Heart and The Fall of Ideals are the ones I need to check out. I've heard bits of Allegaeon, they're a great band with fantastic guitarists! Anaal Nathrakh are a band I've not listened to, but would like to check out. The only Arch Enemy album I have/listened to is Doomsday Machine, it's a great album! Definitely need to check out more of their stuff, and get a few more of their albums. Belphegor and Beyond Creation are 2 more bands I need to check out! 😊🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@JoshKeech Thanks for watching Josh! All That Remains This Darkened Heart & The Fall of Ideals are great albums to start off with. Both the band's best albums IMO. Allegaeon are a fantastic band! I agree, their guitarists are amazing musicians. Anaal Nathrakh are a awesome band to check out if you like black metal/grindcore/death metal & other extreme music. Older Arch Enemy albums are the best IMO. Definitely check out those albums I showed off from them. Finally, Belphegor and Beyond Creation are both solid bands to check out!
@tainted_lord87 You're welcome mate! Ahh nice that's cool, I'll definitely start with those albums for All That Remains. Awesome! Yep, Allegaeon are great and have fantastic musicians! Nice that's cool, yeah I think I would enjoy Anaal Nathrakh, especially the fact their vocalist was in Benediction for a while and I dug those albums he was on. I'll definitely have to check out the early Arch Enemy albums. Not that I don't like Allissa, I think the later albums are too watered down for me. Yeah, need to check out some Belphegor and Beyond Creation. Cheers ☺️🤘🏻
That " Dracula " and " End Of Days ", enjoyed both those movies. Arnie blowing away the devil with a rocket Launcher, whats not to love!. I have not listened to those " In Flames " albums you showed just the early " In Flames" and their latest. Just wondering if you thought they were good Tony. As i like a lot of their other stuff. Cheers🤘
@@AttackFromDownunda Thanks for watching Keith. That Dracula movie, I haven't seen in a long time. End of Days was an alright movie but yeah; Arnie blowing away the devil with a rocket launcher is badass. In Flames I, the Mask is a pretty good album I must say. Reroute to Remain is a decent to good album from In Flames. It has it's moments.
Another good batch of interesting music. I don't think I've ever even hear All That Remains. Speaking of Amorphis, I once knew someone who knew a lady of the night who claimed to be the part-time girlfriend of one of the Amorphis guys. It's probably not true at all, and it's a weird story anyway :-/ Those old Arch Enemy albums are pretty good.
@@This-Is-Music Thanks for watching Kim! Those 4 All That Remains albums are the best ones to check out if you want to get into them. I don't think that's true but it'll be cool if it was. But cool story. Yeah, older Arch Enemy albums are indeed good.
@@DylanTheCDCollector Thanks for watching Dylan! Those All That Remains albums is all I need from them. Not really into their later stuff. Yeah, those Arch Enemy albums are awesome IMO.
Haunted is one of my fave six feet under album, agree with you, it’s very underrated, but I love it. Tomb and also eaten back to life are my fave corpse albums.
@@bmas020 Thanks for watching Baxter. Yeah, Six Feet Under's Haunted is a solid underrated album from them. Tomb of the Mutilated & Eaten Back to Life are great Cannibal Corpse albums.
@@metalmartymac Thanks for watching Marty! Bloodshoteye were a deathcore band. But on that album I showed; they've sounded more death metal IMO. They've unfortunately split-up but I do recommend checking them out.
Great response Tony, great picks! I think I have Bloodshoteye on my list. Not really listened to Six Feet Under or Dying Fetus honestly, I probably should check out those albums. Deicide S/T and Tomb of the mutilated are stone cold classics, definitely worthy of being saved! 🤘🏻🤘🏻 If it was me, I'd pick; Carcass - Necroticism Obituary - Cause of Death Death - Spiritual Healing Skeletal Remains - The Entombment of Chaos Deicide - Once Upon the Cross
@@JoshKeech Thanks for watching Josh! Definitely check out Bloodshoteye. They've unfortunately split-up but they were a solid band. That particular Six Feet Under & Dying Fetus albums are pretty overlooked IMO. But yeah, do check them out as they are great albums. That Deicide & Cannibal Corpse are indeed stone cold classics! Awesome picks as well! I think I should've chose Obituary and Carcass but oh well.
@tainted_lord87 You're welcome mate! Yeah I definitely will check out Bloodshoteye, they sound right up my street. Shame they're split up now. Ah ok that's cool, fair enough. I'll have to check out those albums. Yep, they're essential I'd say! Thanks man, glad you liked my list. Haha yeah, it's not easy picking only 5! You're forgiven for leaving them out! 😁🤘🏻
Tony, that was awesome! Great saves, man. I am glad you jumped in on this. This has been a fun one. I need to get the Dying Fetus album, killer band. Tanks for the support. \m/
@@somedudeintexas No problem! Thanks for creating this fun thread as well, Sean. It was indeed fun. Yeah, you definitely should get that Dying Fetus album. So crushingly heavy!
Good stuff as usual. Not too faniliar with Soilwork. I think I've heard an album or two by them. Early Mastodon rocks! I've seen Phantom a coup,e of times. Always enjoyable.
@@This-Is-Music Thanks for watching Kim! You should check out the early stuff from Soilwork. Gives you a good rundown of their sound. Yeah, early Mastodon does rock! The only time I've seen the Phantom of the Opera musical was back in 2018, I believe. It was honestly spectacular.
