This was not a problem while I was in. ‘94-‘03. Do your job, look out for your shipmates, look after your ship. Only the Admirals care about gender, the crew doesn’t care.
Just remember 'ladies' of the RAN - you are in your positions because of your gender and that we are trying to right some numbers - not your skills. Don't ever mistake you are there for your hard work and talent. You are there because you are women. Every time we see a woman in uniform we know its a DEI pick.
What does gender have to do with anything? why not just "peace and security", i suppose diversity is more important than a military recruitment crisis of 4,000 soldiers
