Hello and welcome to my channel. I am the Viking and I've started this channel in the desire to expand my musical library and learn all about new bands. I am no vocal coach or musical teacher. But I do have strong emotional responses to good music.
You can suggest new bands and epic songs for me to react to! I can not wait to get into this musical journey!
Anything goes but I have to say that I love metal and rock most. That being said... I listen to almost any kind of music from Opera to The heaviest of Metal.

There are a few Rammstein songs I've ot heard must be the recent albums that, I need to get Quarter German myself would love to learn German, loved the Song & The Video, I even loved that they used Du Hast anoher of there songs in the vid along with Sonne my fav Rammstein song well one of many. Also liked the begining at Teutonburg where Arminius decimated the Romans.

She knows exactly what the song meant as it relates to her life. Another of the songs she sings that she loves is Warrior. She is so talented and a total warrior. The people that bullied her at school can hide their heads in shame now, and sure are envious of her success now
I think I have heard this song not seen the video, but damn knowing time will never stop and u can't avoid it is cool nice video sad but cool nice song also. Makes u want to do eveything u can before your time is up.
Incredibly moving. I have a hard time watching this, because he looks so distraught. I think the numbers that he mentioned are unfortunately much higher now. And, as we all know, his voice and singing have improved so much, but he was so good even back then. The one thing that really strikes me is the scream, which I hear as thin and weak. I think it was the last technique that he mastered. Thanks, Viking!
I loved this song on the album one of my favs never heard this piano version though creepy video had no idea there was meanings behind the videos though.
I love Rammstein I have many of there albums, although I have no idea what there saying never seen this video before but who cares there always awesome I love the video to Sonne one of my favourites but I love this song also. There are so many cool tunes by them.
I havent heard this song in years not sure if Iv'e watched Dan's version yet used to listen to Nightwish years ago great cover would be awesome to see them live.
Another interesting video there don't recognize the song but Dan did a great job as usual there was moments of sadness in the theme that make u reflect of course with Mr Vasc's flair added to the mix another great cover. As someone who has suffered with depression this was great nice speech at the beginning also.
Dan the beautiful sole fought his own demons and defeated them, thank god he had the strength to stay with us! In doing so he has helped so many of us who continue to fight against this horrid thing. I know since I’ve found Dan he has helped me to keep going.
Just a thought...How many generatiions do you think real Viking men would last without the capacity and willingness for love? You don't owe us an explanation. Just listening to you speak about your children makes it a great reaction. The fabulous Kate Lott and Tiffany Coburn are both powerhouse sopranos but both can light on the high notes as delicately as a butterfly on a rose. The baritone in the dark red shirt is the amazing Jamie Ray who founded Voctave and writes all of their musical arrangments.❤ 😊
Dear Viking, please always speak about feelings here, it is so important to let it out, this is just the platform to do it, these are special communities here, often with a common love of music, but are so supportive, if people are not open to it, they will move on, but ultimately we are here to react and discuss, in whatever form that takes, it's what Dan's music does, encourages you to feel, and be epic and uplifted. Don't change. You are great. Xx

Beautiful reaction, thank you for sharing your heart with us. After I became handicap, there were many times that I didn't see the point in continuing to live, blessedly those times turned around.
It took me forever to get through this video. I had to keep pausing it a I couldn't see through the tears. Man, but this hit hard. I've been fighting these demons for long while now. Since 2022 it's got even harder when I lost 4 dear people. A dear friend, a niece and 2 sisters, one of whom committed suicide. There are days that I think I can't do this anymore, it's just too painful. What helps is listening to Dan's music. I pray for strength every day.
Welcome back Sir Goesbackalot! I have listened to this song more times than I can count but this is the first time watching the video. I had avoided it because I knew that watching Dan perform this would be hard for me. And I would have been right. Not today. Today this is song everyone needs pulsing through their veins, that chorus fueling every heartbeat and the sound of those bells ringing in your mind to keep you on track and looking forward. A song with a powerful message sung so beautifully by the phenomenal Dan Vasc! Thank you for reacting to it. As some others in the comments have posted, many of us have either gone through this ourselves, know others who have made it through, and know some who did not. One of my nephews chose to take his own life several years ago- he was in his early 30s.
Dear wonderful Viking, (sorry I don’t know your given name), you have a very special place in my heart, right next to Daniel. ❤ I am an older grandmother who has lived and had negative thoughts about myself and still wonder why I’m still here but I will say I walked through the hell and fight the pain each day! However I have seen many people who haven’t been able to step through the fire and have ended their suffering. This song and Dans passion in it and how he said in a different cover, when you are going through hell please don’t stop in the middle,keep going because we need you to be here. You are worthy! Ask for help! (I DO know that is easier said than done), I don’t ask for help and so far I have been able to fight through it, but I do sometimes wonder! 💭 I pray for all those suffering with and from their pain. Two years ago, my 33 year-old nephew killed himself, and last year, my cousin's wife threw herself off a freeway bridge in Germany. So devastating to our family. But even worse are the years and years of suffering these two people have been through. I have had two short experiences with depression myself, and it seems to me that depression is worse than any other illness. My heart goes out to all who suffer. I love Dan like a son of mine and pray he will never have to go through such hell again. I hope the same for you, and thank you for your reactions. Be happy, be well! Thank you for sharing. It shows people that they aren’t alone with their issues. Talking is that which binds us! And no I am not German but I was born there and lived there for 13 years. I am Dutch ;)
Viking, what more can I say? I love your reactions to Dan, always. I love Dan’s renditions of every song he performs, always. He has fought demons, as have you, as have I, as have many, many others. For many of us, those creatures, whose sole purpose is to steal our light, are always there. Sometimes they sleep, giving us a brief respite from the pain, but they are always waiting for that moment when we are most vulnerable, and most susceptible. I can see from your eyes, that you are very familiar with them. I’m 65, and have fought for 56 years to rid myself of this pain. Like many, it is a multi-generational curse. I’ve seen my family suffer greatly, and like you, I lost my first cousin to this dreaded illness. He just couldn’t fight any more, although he certainly tried. I think, sometimes, that it would be simply easier to just give up. We all need peace. We crave it. But, it is so important not to give in to that lie. This song brings me to tears every time I hear it, but they are truly tears of hope. I hope not just for myself, but for all of us. This is one demon that grows stronger with every life it takes. It’s on all of us to support each other, so that the evil doesn’t ever win. Take care, and a big, warm hug to you. 🌻
Hey Viking! Touching and incredible reaction to Dan as usual. Kind of two weeks ago I was watching a video where Dan and an American friend of his were talking and I got a little distracted but something caught my attention when I heard”…yes, and Viking is a great one too”, they were talking about people who react to his songs and he cited YOU!! Dan knows about you. Isn’t it great??
My college roommate killed herself. A number of years later, a very close friend killed herself. It has taken me years to accept that neither was my fault. They were both in places where I couldn't reach them, despite the fact that I, too, have battled that depression monster for decades. And yet, to this very day, I still sometimes start to wonder. What if I had just...? No. Viking, it's not your fault, either. There was nothing more or different you could have done. Trust me. I've been there.
Just a side note: I've noticed the spacebar not working sometimes for pausing on youtube videos, as well. What I've done to counter this is to click just below the timeline in an empty part (this is where all of the settings and stuff show up). I don't know exactly why this is the case, but it's my work around for the issue. Another option is to press 'k'.
