G'day Viking, I joined Dan's journey with the release of Amazing Grace at Easter 2023, and have very quickly become an avid follower. At that time he was at around the 600-ish-K mark, and to see him grow so quickly is astonishing. I couldn't be prouder of him if he were my own child. I watched the interview with Eric July/RippaVerse, and found it very insightful, although I have heard some of Dan's story on other interviews, both recently and historically. He is a very articulate and intelligent young man. I try to watch as much as I can of his interviews, though it can be difficult with time zones and algorithmic shenanigans, etc. I'm also happy to be a part of this Viking family, and love your reactions to Dan and his merry mob of musos, as well as your compilations/mashups... I am learning so much more about different genres of music than I previously knew. It's so much fun... I didn't really care for Kate Bush's original so much, but then André Matos did this masterpiece of a cover that Dan just performed perfectly. I also giggled the first few times I heard it. Now I'm just amazed by it.

@terririchards6064 If you watch, Dan's neck is always relaxed. This man knows what he can and can't do. There is just nothing he can't do, and he has worked hard to achieve this. He is such a professional and loves th art so much he would never do anything to damage his ability to sing. I love Dan Vasc, the singer and the man with a beautiful soul.
I LOVE this, and am constantly astonished. Not only are the pitches insane, but the register and tone switches are so smooth and gorgeous. I could tell you were knocked out by those switches too. And yes, it's not at all easy to sing like this. In fact, there are very few singers who could even approach this degree of excellence. I always enjoy your reactions, Viking!

Hey there! I'm SO glad to find this "recation" ummm...reaction (your title--giggle) this afternoon. When I saw what you were reacting to, I RUSHED to get finished with the other thing I was doing. I utterly LOVE Dan doing this song! I think it helps with the understanding of the "dialogue," when one has actually read the book "Wuthering Heights." Regarding that falsetto, Dan says that he studied how to do all of that correctly, by listening to Andre Matos and studying his techniques. I wrote that just before the "Andre Matos" playlist popped up on Dan's screen! Thank you VERY much! I really needed this today. 😀 This is the perfect time to compare where the numbers are, because as he was doing the outro (and, yes, I LOVE both his and your mindsets about ALL of those things), I realized that right now, we're almost exactly at the other end of the spectrum!!! Today he's at 966K. That means there are only 34,000 subs to go, to get to the (first) million (should be no further out than mid-April, going by the average growth every day)! When this video was done, he had gotten to 50,000 subs, which would have meant he had 950K to go. What fun! The "other guy" Dan was talking to this past week was Eric, on the Young Rippa podcast. SUPERB, SUPERB, SUPERB interview!!! Eric has divided up the full thing (which you can still watch), into parts, as well. They both did a TREMENDOUS job with that interview. Just fantastic! I am constantly finding new little nuggets in Dan's songs that I didn't notice before. (Hint: If you are not listening to Dan Vasc with headphones or ear buds you are missing out.) I have always loved Kate Bush's version, and still do. But I should imagine it's hard, even for a soprano, to sing that. Let alone for a guy. He did an amazing job with it. Thank you for your reaction and insight into this. Saturdan Day sounds great to me.

When I first heard this song a long while back I didn't care for it. You helped me understand what was going on with Dan's skill set and I have to say that I like it better now. SaturDanday.. brilliant idea. This song is now special to me😊.. my ex Husband loved Kate Bush back in '78-'79.. me not so much... Fast forwards and I find Dan's cover...I am sure I have found the perfect rendition of this.. it has Dan and his marvellous voice.. and Viking reacting.. oh yes a WIN all around. Next month we would have been 50years married, still friends so of course I have shared this with him..
