Hi Keith, i'm not a pigeon fancier by any means. However this is my nan and grandad and it gives me great joy watching them talk about something they were so passionate about. Thank you.
Hi Carl! I’ve not heard from Tom for a few years, as I believe he packed up his pigeons. Sorry I can’t help you with that. Regards to you and your family!
Hi Mate! The reason for having the ‘rabbit hutch’ loft in the beginning was because I had ‘pigeon fanciers lung’ and couldn’t go in a closed in loft. As time went on I realised what a great way it was to keep and race the birds too. I raced long distance on a normal natural system and won many premier positions in National and Classic races. I had six section for old birds and two for the youngsters. I think the main thing was it was stress free for the birds living in separate boxes. I bred the dam of a 1st open International winner and a 2nd National winner and they were both born in the ‘Rabbit Hutch’ loft. There is a more detailed article on my ‘Rabbit Hutch’ loft system on my website. Thanks for your interest! Regards to you and your family.

Just come across this video.. Brings back memories. Not seen John for well over 20 years. I was Mark Gilbert's racing partner when we were kids. We had our loft on the other side of Lascelles park from John so we used to spend a lot of time with each other.. Good times.
Great memories, I use to ride there on my bike (Baby Blue) from Chelsea Bridge with my mates, back in the 60's & early 70's. My best memories was the awesome New Years Eves, when you needed wellingtons to Bop on the beer drenched Floor & Big Al falling off the stage backwards & wriggling on the floor to the sound of pure pumping Rock n Roll.

Hi Ali! I hope all is good at your end! ‘Culmer Gold’ came to my loft when Eric passed in 2000. He could not go in the sale because of his old age and finished his day in Claygate. He was wonderful champion! Good luck with your future racing and thanks for your interest. Regards to you and your family!
