OK so I was totally wrong .. I have set up many manual clutch linkage throw out bearings and you don't want them toughing the clutch fingers while the clutch is fully engaged.
If the Throw out bearing is touching the clutch fingers while the clutch is fully engaged, that throw out bearing is not going to last very long. The Silver Metal part is the Bearing .. The Green boot that has a spring inside, I would assume also has a slave cylinder inside the rubber boot. The whole thing is not a bearing.. It's a slave Cylinder and clutch throw out bearing assembly .
I can tell you first hand that a lighter flywheel WILL affect a daily driver the car will stall easier from a stand The heavier the car the more its effected

I can be the first one to install a triple ceramic in a fully build Wil Cooksey, hook me up and I'll add the install featuring a super low number ultra rare C6 Z06
I would not be mad if you sent me a triple ceramic for my Wil Cooksey LS7 I just built, having some issues with slipping now. My tuner at JC Speed said your clutch is the one to have and since I'm in Charlotte North Carolina I'll come get it to save on the shipping.
Awesome this is great news! I just had my mantic installed for my 2021 Mach 1 with a qa1 carbon fiber DS and Ford Performance Half Shafts. It also has a Steeda suspension and procharger stage 2 setup. I was worried about chatter because I kept hearing about it from forums. I will be picking my car up next week and can’t wait to drive it! Thank you Mantic!!
Yeah the CSC concept is kind of foreign to me as well. I've been fighting a high RPM lockout issue on my 2010 Mustang GT since I got it. I've done all the upgrades to fix the issue, yet it's still there. And now it's progressed to the point of the trans itself is now acting up (grinding going into 3rd gear). The clutch still grabs hard and I have yet to feel it slip but apparently the slave is just not pushing the fingers far enough. Never in my life have I changed a clutch that wasn't slipping but I guess that is the issue. To make matters worse, the OEM service manual (Ford OEM manual, not Haynes or anything) for my car says NOTHING about this process of to get the travel correct. Thank you for the video, this pretty much summed up and solved my issue and I'll be clutch / trans swapping shortly and I'll more than likely be getting a Mantic clutch if its available for this car.
@@Its_3055 Oh I'm going to be real good once I get it installed, lol. Rebuilt Lashbrook trans, Exedy hyper Twin organic and all the supporting mods. I've already got literally every single shifter mod I can throw at it. MGW shifter, Stainless clutch line, power torque steel body clutch master, CHE torque limiter, AMP bronze bushings and a blowfish V2 shifter bracket.
2019 Mustang GT, MT82. Have Eric Bain's Bluefire Motorsport doing 61mm twin turbo build on it. Looking at 800-900rwhp. Little dig racing, but mostly roll stuff. Stock MT82. Recommendation please for your clutch please. Thank you.
It still seems weird to me that the throw out bearing is always pressed against the pressure plate fingers even when fully disengaged. I just replaced the clutch in my F-150 and the whole concept seemed so wrong
Why would you leave the cylinder with the bearing facing up like that and the line at the bottom? Air bubbles go up not down. That method looks like it would be great at trapping a lot of air.
How about a two piece flywheel that uncouples the outer three inches, via electro magnetism, slipper clutch concept? Creating a street/low mass "dual flywheel" effect, for usage. Where the magnetism could also aid the clutch grip.
These things are awesome! If you want the best this is it! Just had mine rebuilt and splined for my Tremec Magnum XL swap. I can't wait to get her back together!
Why does some installation warns not to push bearing prior to installation, what damage can it cause? Also can pulling vacuum from the master cylinder reservoir cause the bearing to retract and cause damage?
Is your clutch very soft after doing replacing the clutch and slave cylinder. I got mine back from the mechanic and it feels like i am stepping on marshmallows
Looks like I have a customer that will need one rebuilt or replaced with new. Mantic 9000 twin disc on 2005 corvette. I was rolling into 3rd gear and the car started shaking violently once the power came on around 4500 rpm. Quite sure the clutch is gone. I'll have to look into rebuild price vs whatever the latest/greatest new clutch brand/model is.
