Absolutely bro! I’ve been watching you guys for a while and what I really like about your content is that you’re a father son duo out there slaying just like me and my son! My very best days are when I’m out on the water with my boy slaying trout and I’m sure it’s the same for you bro!
Great vid guys, part 2 did not disappoint! Lots of quality fish and that tagger you got at little Virginia was damn nice! Was that super shad you were running that day?
Thanks again for the support bro means a lot! Mardi Gras was the top performer, but yes, super shad did snag me a few. They really seemed to want dark colors later on in the day!
That was a hell of a first morning in the sierras!! Awesome vid bro got my blood pumping watching you guys drag in those tagged hogs!! Mine and my sons first time in the sierras was back in may and that shit was an amazing experience! We just got back from our second trip a couple weeks ago and already trying to get back for round 3 😂
Definitely a great morning!! It was an amazing start to the trip! Hope you guys slayed it on your guy's trip! We are trying to get back up for the 4th of July weekend.
@@TroutTastic I’ve only been up there twice now and haven’t been further north then the June loop. My next trip will be Bridgeport and the Virginia lakes for sure! Just seen your short from silver I absolutely love that place! I slayed out on GSF jigs at the inlet they were loving the Bam Bam that day. Seen you are on the pro staff congrats! Must be cool as hell to fish with those guys!!
@IrishBerserker They are all beautiful lakes! Silver was amazing a little slow that day but still an awesome lake!Thank you bro and yes it's definitely a blessing to be able to fish with the guys! 🎣🎣
It's awesome! Great strength and sensitivity! Havent ever been snapped off at braid. I do recommend getting a bright color as the black braid can be tuff to see even though it looks great on the reel.
I had a day like that out there last year, and like you I caught a couple bass. Nice place but I didn't realize it was private until I was fishing and the lady from the store came up to me for payment. Well worth it though. Way to go on the great day.
It's an awesome lake. Yeah, they start charging during their trout season. This was the week before the opener, so they weren't charging money at this time!
Thanks for the support bro!! I use the outcast fish cat 4. My son who you see in the video uses the Outcast super fat cat. Hes a big boy 295 and it holds him comfortably and he loves it.
@@TroutTastic no worries bro, I found it on Amazon. Thank you! I notice you guys have some really nice gear! You should be a part of the GSF staff! I get all my tackle from them but haven’t pulled the trigger on that rod just YET lol
Nice video, new subscriber. Nice fish. I didn't know Jenks had that quality in it. You guys ever take those tubes to Mammoth for the summer bite when it's too hot down here in So Cal?
@@TroutTastic It's getting warm now down here in So Cal. Have to get out on the tubes now if you want any luck. Always looking for alike trout enthusiast to go fish with. Learn new techniques and share ideas. I'm up in Hesperia area near GSF. Let me know if you guys are tubing again soon.
@brianjimenez9312 Yes getting very warm and fast! The tubes definitely give you an advantage on some of these lakes. We will be somewhere this weekend, I think my son wanted to try Silverwood one last time then we will be back out to Jenks again forsure next weekend.
@@TroutTastic I am an older guy and i cannot handle a fishing rod that long but i really like the look and style of that rod. 5'6" is about my max. I use mostly spinners and spoons.
@gr8fishman-no5ub I don't believe he makes them that size. But I can tell you that this rod is probably the same weight if not lighter then the 5'6 models that you get at the store. Plus with the extra length you get a ton more casting distance especially throwing spoons and lures.
The tube that holds the pole is plenty big enough but you do need to pull it out straight otherwise you can get hung up. Which does happen in the choas when that bobber goes flying up
Yes, we were drilling, then non-stop on orange mice tail with bang garlic bait and wait, and for the spot anywhere near the damn and boathouse around 1 foot leader and spoons have been on fire this weekend as well as the mini jig anything orange!
@@TroutTastic Awesome! Thanks for the info. I’m barely reading this now. I ended up going yesterday and killed it on spoons and mice tails myself. Orange as well as pink. I landed about 20 and went home with my limit, just wish they had some bigger ones in there.
@TotalTechAutomotive That's awesome bro! Glad you slayed them! We were there Saturday memorial day weekend also fishing spoons from shore in the morning then a boat later on bite was still fire. They did plant some bigger ones but we didnt get into any of those!
Thanks bro appreciate it. You can personally message GSFcustombaits on there IG. He can ship or you can pick it up. Yes we are hoping to get out there again this weekend!
@SIRKSxFUNK Im running the same on my bait rods but my Jigging rods ill run 4lb Sinister Strand braid black from Golden state fishing tied to a 4lb flouro leader.
