In todays adventure we head up to lake Gregory where I hook up into a Lightning Trout. Rest of the day was really slow so we packed up and headed off to see if Jenks Lake trout were still biting. Watch to see the results
Gear used
ROD: Katana K5 7'6
REEL: Shimano Vanquish 1000SSSPG
LINE: Sinister Strand GSF 4lb BLACK with 4lb TATSU Floru Leader.
Angel
ROD: Juicy Beaver MK2 7'6"
REEL: Shimano Vanquish 1000SSSPG
LINE Sinister Strand GSF 4lb Orange with 4lb TATSU Floru Leader
FLOAT TUBES ARE A FISH CAT 4 and SUPERFAT CAT.
Baits used were Mini Jigs from GoldenstateFishing. www.goldenstatefishing.shop/
Top color again was Yellow and White however these fish didn't seem to care what color I threw at them today.

What pound test line are you running unless your drags to tight you shouldnt really be breaking off on a hook set

@@TroutTastic I am an older guy and i cannot handle a fishing rod that long but i really like the look and style of that rod. 5'6" is about my max. I use mostly spinners and spoons.

@gr8fishman-no5ub I don't believe he makes them that size. But I can tell you that this rod is probably the same weight if not lighter then the 5'6 models that you get at the store. Plus with the extra length you get a ton more casting distance especially throwing spoons and lures.
