Feedback is what people call the feeling of the nib against the paper. So if a nib is polished and super smooth, there is no feedback, but if it feels more like writing with a pencil, then that nib has "feedback".
Thank you for this video! Wish I had someone tell me “any” of what you described. I bought my first “fountain pen” from my uncles Drug Store in South Alabama when I was seven. It was red & clear. (Wonder where it is today!?) The one thing I used it on were letters from Girll Scout Camp & later, figured out how to use/make (? Maybe) WHITE ink to write on my black paged Photo Album! Man, has my ability increased. I took a course in Calligraphy when I was bored one summer, as an adult, from nearby college offering cheap fun classes w/o paying rediculous fees. I think it was $10 or something. Left it be for many years, raised a family & went back to it teaching for fun… it’s addictive & much like riding a bicycle easy to relearn with practice!
Here in Germany when I went to first grade (long time ago) we startet learning to write with a pencil. Once the teacher considered one adept enough you switched to a fountain pen. Here are pupil's models for that kind of use. Later I switched to ballpoint as it was uncomplicated. But I came back to the fountain pen studying law and having to write by hand a lot and for hours one end. I like the ease of writing in ink, requiring much less force and effort. Also the writing looks smoother as the ink flows steadier. Now I am all into it. Choosing ink and colour alone is an adventure but worth it.
I like plain ol' black inks, but then again, sometimes colour is nice, but I like plain and professional writing that blends in with printed ink on paper.
I bought one of these on Ebay for $499! It is very versatile!! I did some work on it. I also added some PRS locking tuners. IT IS A BEAST!! I use the split-coil alot! I can make it sound like my PRS se Zach Meyer or I can switch it to single coil to make it sound like a Strat! Buy one now... before the price goes up!!!!!
Seriously? *WEIGHT?* I am writing a novel by hand. The lightness is everything after writing for hours! It’s a lovely pen, and great to write with. I agree with your converter assessment. The pen comes with a Con40, which holds next to nothing. The Con70 can’t fit. I have to ink up every 4-5 pages!
The weight is admittedly a nitpick. As I mentioned, it can a pro (for you) or a con (for me), and I totally get while people do like the weight. Overall, though, it's still one of my favorite pens! I can get over the "cons". :)
I guess the bad click is by design, as otherwise the Safari, which is used in schools in Germany, would be used by kids to make noise during classes and drive the teacher crazy.
It's pretty clear that all of your listed cons are really subjective for you personally, but do you have any more problems with the guitar that might be more objective?
No, I really don't. I try to list all cons, both objective and subjective. My gripe with the wood pieces being shown is an example of something objective being something also subjective. But the guitar itself was flawless.
What about dry dragging/tasting before lighting? I’m new to cigars . And I think so far, I can tell if I’m going to love, like, or ehh a cigar by doing this but - is it a thing? My nose tells me nothing so far.
Notice how no one has seen a REAL man review Dr Squatch? Its because REAL men dont review soap, and if your soap bar only lasted 1-2 weeks then your a wasteful moron... enjoy your chemicals, and your "pretty" bar of soap.... what a shmuck.. "looks homemade" "this soap didnt make me feel like a man" because you arent one.
As a cigar smoker of over 13 years, I had no idea you could just take the pigtail off a cigar without needing a cutter. How do they come off without tearing the wrapper?
I've never had one tear past the cap. I'm still careful about it, but I will gently pull the pigtail off, while making sure the rip stays contained. But I think I'm being overly cautious. They're designed to be pulled off

Amazing guitar love mine. But the thing about how simmilar they are to core is not true for the Silver Sky at all. I had the SE but sold it to get the Core massive difference even if all youtubers clamed that the where 99% identical.....the number is more like 15%
It bothers me that the feed isn't called a "comb" and it's not just cartridges or converters, there are bladders, lever fill, vacuum fill, bladders &c. as well as dip pens, dip-less, and glass pens
I have this same pen colour with an Ef nib and I love how it writes. If you want more ink capacity just refill the cartridge. Good choice in notebooks too.
Very informative and comprehensive review, and I've got to say that Dave is one of the warmest and most expressive RU-vidr I've seen. Dave, you clearly love what you do, and it's a joy to watch you. 👍
I purchased one in 2022. Absolute junk. Delivery took over two months, but who cares so long as it's actually windproof. Totally baloney, showed it to 10 friemiehoball saw the ad and we said "that's the best marketing I have ever seen" and that's it. Now... If these ads are still running? They must have finally found the right fabric, because my @ld #avy fleece does a better job, and that thing stinks too.
Why don't they tell you what the waterproof and breathability ratings are? Or even what technology is uses. If it's a membrane then it's not a softshell in the usual sense of the word as breathability is low. If it's not got a membrane then how is it "wateproof'" exactly? DWR isn't waterproofing.
I think because their market isn't the type of market that needs a rating system. This is a casual rain jacket, but not comparable to something professionals would depend upon.
I've bought 3 Glarry guitars, GST-E, GST-170, and GST H-H(sold more commonly under Pyle). I learned the most from the 170, as it had the most wrong by far. The E is my main player/chugger, but the H-H is actually a whole step up in quality and components. Once setup, it actually plays as good as some of my upper stuff, even an Ibanez of mine.
Western Rises biggest issue isn't the quality of their clothes it's the fact that nothing they have is ever in stock. I imagine they're losing a lot of money for people going to other companies simply because at the end of the day if you need to buy a pair of pants then you need that pair of pants to be in stock
I ended up going with the Wraith, Eagle, Shako3, and Invader. My arm speed is probably a bit lacking for the Wraith's full potential right now, but I have been able to get better each time I give it some practice throws.
