the new belt is amazing. Groove life and their warranty alone is worth any purchase on any product. The plastic they use for the new buckle is the same material that is used in some hand guns mainly the glock. This belt solves so many issues that the OG had. Fits through any and all pant loops, has a lock to prevent slipping and the light weight makes it feel like you dont even have a belt on AT ALL. I used the warranty on my OG belt for the loosening that takes place through the day. When I first got it, it stayed in place pretty good. After a couple years it loosens SO MUCH during the day at work. Got two ultra belts with my warranty claim, one for free and the other for $15.

I like the better price point on the Ultra. I have the OG. I didn’t like how the OG buckle kind of stuck out away from the waist because of the design. I’m still mixed on using it for concealed because I don’t feel the belt is rigid enough.

You didn't mention the lock mechanism in the buckle to keep the belt from slipping. Because the OG belt does slip, and it's annoying but it was great. But I have both colored ultra belts on the way, and I can't wait.

So just got this belt in the mail and oh crap its not meant to hold my custom Glock 17 in my Bravo holster on my waist at 3 o-clock!! Got to send it back

I found my groove belt such a pain to fit the 2 large metal buckles thru all my belt loops everyday I stopped wearing it last year Wish they could make them smaller.

A new belt? I don't think it's possible to find another new belt. As it says in the bible, "What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. To be honest, I saw belts like that back in the 1960s...along with bell-bottoms and platform shoes...which would disappear and reappear over the decades. I also had a pretty slick military cartridge belt/buckle that style I tested back in the mid-1980s about the time I was test firing the replacement for the old Colt 1911 .45 ACP service pistol, which turned-out to the Beretta M9. I liked it, but still to too frequently adjust those rigid cartridge belts for fit and comfort. What I really like about this belt is that it's constructed of a somewhat flexible, but rigid, material...so your weight can fluctuate a few pounds up-to-down without having to money with it. That's what I didn't like about those style cartridge belts...you could easily drop 7-10 on an exercise, and then put it back on, and then some, while in Garrison, and you're always having to money with the fitting. This seems to be no fuss, no muss. I like the concept...but not exactly thrilled with the non-traditional looks. Do they have other styles? Regardless, I'll check 'em out. Cheers.
