The 1969 Vista Cruiser from that 70's show may have had a 7.5L/455ci V8 Rocket in it. Those second generation Vista Cruisers came with the 455ci option, I know because my Uncle owns one still. Mostly original, still runs, still chugs gasoline, but she still goes! Cool car, just a behemoth though, even compared to my 1954 Mercury M-100, which is about as far from looking nice as possible lol, she needs a huge amount of work, but she runs. Yeah, we're from Michigan, so we love our Merc's out here.
This woman was twice the country music singer than dolly Shania or faith hill or anyone else you can name she did it right she didn’t sleep her way to Nashville it’s a shame She wasn’t a super star
For the last 3 years, I’ve played this song to get my daughters to calm down and sleep. It’s like magic. I also get to reminisce about taking my wife dancing in college. Is it too late for Kathy Matea to get a Grammy for this song?
I remember this car back in the late 50s. Bad ass cars. 455 CU IN engine. 58 Chevy, 57 Mercury, 57 Ford in that era. These cars today are nothing but beer cans and plastic. All look alike now days
Riding with my dad step mom and brothers from Boise Idaho to Washington state spring break of 91. I was turning 11 in a couple days. It was late in the evening and we approached deads mans pass in Oregon hit black ice and watched 20+ cars crash all around us at 70 mph. We came to a stop somehow and pretty sure I saw at least one person die when his trans am went under a semi trailer and sheared the roof. My brothers and I were all in the back crying and shaken, then trucks surrounded and protected us. Ive always liked truckers and my life has taken many turns over the years and now at 44 I've had my CDL A for 2 years. I know Jesus was there with us that night because we stopped miraculously when everyone around us crashed and He moved those truckers heart to want to protect a family. God bless those drivers, I never met them but will never forget their kindness, now I will do the same. I always honk for the kids when they "pull their horn" when I drive by. I remember being just like them. I love this song because it has so much meaning to it unlike most of the music today.
Kathy's real name is Kathleen. Everybody calls her Kathy. When I first heard the song in 91 it didn't make me cry. The C D has the same name when Kathy made that C D in 91.
I wished Kathy didn't make me cry when I heard the song in 2003. Please note that the song is a sad song. Still when I hear the song on this site it makes me cry. Why did Kathy recorded this sad song?
SR trucking is fun but no time to take care of your health, take a break my co let me go they did not want order drivers,it ok retired now be back health is #1 am doing it now never give up usa make America great🇺🇸🇺🇲🇺🇸

My late husband owned Against The Wind trucking company out of Holland, Michigan. I went on the road with him and became his personal lumper.I noticed him getting very sick. I pulled him off the road and I went back to work as a Medical Professional. 2 weeks later he passed away from Renal Failure.
I started driving in 1994 in Los Angeles for a construction rental yard moved to Las Vegas in 1997 and kept driving me and my 2 friends where sought after by every rental yard cause we did things no other driver would ever do from 1997 till 2006 we we’re loyal to the company we worked for SNE
I only drove for 8 years. Started at late age. I have nothing but ultimate respect for the Drivers who keep this Nation operating 24/7. Be safe out there and Thank you!!!
My Dad helped me build a sub for my first car. Two 10's. To try it out I wanted to play geti boys but he was like ... Step aside son, let me play something good.... 😎 Thanks Dad, that forever changed my life. ❤️
The ultimate car guy / gal song. I had a Chevy G20 van with the original 350 block built out to 385 cid backed by a built 700R4 trans with a 3.73 posi. It ran high 12's in the quarter and could hit 140 on the open road. I miss that thing even though it tried to murder me a few times.
I like this song I had a few Oldsmobiles in my Time I had a73 Cutlass supreme 74 Cutlass salon 76 Cutlass supreme they all had the 350 olds engines. Boy you talk about strong I did some research back in the day it's said that the350 came off the line with 200 horsepower I never had the pleasure of owning a455 back in the day I heard about the delta88 olds having the455 but not the supreme they were the best cars i ever owned powerful dependable easy to work on wish ihad at least one of them today😭i miss those cars great cars❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍
My husband was a long-haul trucker for many years. You have got to really work hard on a marriage when one of you is gone that much. Thank God he’s local now. Most people have no idea what drivers sacrifice to bring product to the warehouse.
I drove trucks from 1992 till 2009 I will never forget the great times I had I drove in town for a construction equipment company in Los Angeles and in Las Vegas in Vegas me and my 2 friends were the best in the business
