For simple styles like this, the chest line is what you need. The burst line is mostly useful when making bustier dresses or blouse, the bustling is also called bust point. Feel free to ask your questions 🤍

I don’t think there is a particular needle for sewing duchess. Just work with your sewing machine needle, but whenever you want to sew duchess, it is always advisable to change your needle to a new one.
The additional 5inches is for the sleeve, once you complete the tutorial and see how the sleeve was attached to the blouse, you will understand better Thank you 🤍
